In response to the evolving market needs, Kia Cars India has unveiled the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift. The renowned South Korean automaker has made sure that it’s latest mid-size SUV comes fully equipped with all the desirable features, both in terms of design and safety systems. Notably, the facelifted Seltos offers a panoramic sunroof and a host of safety features alongside other enhancements. Seltos Exterior

The 2023 Kia Seltos retains a similar overall exterior design to its predecessor, but it comes with notable updates and revisions. While the old model featured a sleek tiger nose grill with micro stud pattern, the new model get a bolder grille with intersecting LED daytime running lights (DRLs) positioned lower on the bumper. This design change gives the vehicle a more modern and dynamic appearance.

Moving to the rear, the Seltos facelift showcases a re-profiled bumper, new Star Map LED connected taillamps and dual-sport exhausts, resulting in a stylish and sophisticated appearance. Compared to the new model, the previous Seltos model boasted a sleek design with a sculpted bumper and distinctive taillights. Additionally, the new Seltos also rides on larger 18-inch alloy wheels, compared to the 17-inch alloys that came on the outgoing model, giving the car a larger appearance.

Seltos Interior

The interior of the new Seltos Facelift stays true to its predecessor's reputation for thoughtful design and a wealth of segment-leading features. The new model features the same 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as the outgoing model but with updated UI and features. In addition to the updated touchscreen, the new car also gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that replaces the analogues dials of the old model giving the cabin an overall premium and modern look.

The Seltos Facelift also addresses the missing elements from the outgoing models cabin by introducing a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic AC, 8-way powered driver seat and more. These additions enhance the overall comfort and luxury of the cabin, which was lacking in the pre-facelift model.

Furthermore, the updated model replaces fabric seats with leatherette upholstery, further elevating the interior ambiance. Continuing to provide an immersive audio experience, the Seltos Facelift retains the premium Bose sound system, ensuring high-quality sound reproduction.

Seltos Engine

The new Seltos comes with a range of powertrain options. These include the same 1.5-litre NA petrol and turbo diesel engine option from the outgoing model and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol delivering 156 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. In terms of transmission choices, KIA Seltos Facelift retains all the gearbox options from the last model.

The 2023 Seltos introduces an expanded colour palette with a total of 8 Monotone, 2 dual-tone, and the exclusive Xclusive Matte Graphite colour options. Among these, the newly launched Pewter Olive colour stands out, providing the vehicle with a unique and captivating appearance. Whereas in addition of the newly added single colour, the outdated version had a colour choices include Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Xclusive Matt Graphite (X-Line), Glacier White Pearl + Aurora Black Pearl, and Intense Red + Aurora Black Pearl.

The KIA Seltos has always prioritized safety, with features like 6-airbags, ABS with EBS, ESP, and a 360-degree camera. However, with the 2023 model, KIA is elevating safety standards even further with the introduction of an ADAS level 2 (Advanced Driver Assistance System) function. This advanced suite of safety technologies includes 17 features, such as lane-keep assist, collision mitigation control, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control, among others. With these enhancements, the new Seltos becomes the second KIA car, following the EV6, to offer ADAS capabilities.

When it comes to dimensions, the 2023 Kia Seltos showcases some changes compared to its predecessor. It now measures 4,365 mm in length, slightly longer than the outgoing variant's 4,315 mm. The width remains the same at 1,800 mm, providing ample room for occupants and cargo. The height has increased to 1,645 mm, up from the previous model's 1,635 mm. Lastly, the wheelbase stands at 2,610 mm, providing stability.
