Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch a range of exciting new cars in a couple of years. With a focus on innovation, reliability, and affordability, these upcoming cars are expected to make a significant impact in the automotive market. Let’s know more about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki cars and SUVs in 2024 and 2025. Maruti Swift 2024 Maruti Suzuki is ready to introduce its New-Gen Swift for the Indian market. It is expected to be launched on May 9. Based on the modified HEARTECT platform, the new Swift will receive design updates and an all-new interior. Some of its exterior features include a new grille, redesigned front bumper, updated headlamps, a new set of alloy wheels, and stylish tailgate design with inverted C-shaped LED tail-lights. The interior of the new Swift will be quite different from the outgoing model. It will feature a new dual-tone black/beige scheme, similar to the Baleno hatchback. Other noteworthy features include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, flat-bottom steering wheel, keyless entry, automatic AC, reverse parking camera, and more. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol engine, producing 82 bhp with 108 Nm of torque. A hybrid setup will also be on offer. Price for the 2024 Swift could be between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Dzire 2024 After the new Swift, the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be launched in our market. The automaker will launch the new-gen Dzire during the festive season with an updated exterior design, interior, and new engine options. The updated subcompact sedan will feature a new grille, LED headlamp clusters, new alloy wheels, and a revamped tailgate. Interior of the car will be inspired by the Fronx and Baleno. Moreover, it is likely to offer a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, and a sunroof. Powered by the same engine as Swift (1.2-litre petrol unit), it will deliver 82 bhp with 108 Nm of torque. We can expect a price hike over the existing model and it could cost somewhere around Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki eVX Maruti Suzuki had showcased the eVX electric SUV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company has officially announced that the production version of the e-SUV will arrive in our market sometime next year, most probably in the first quarter of 2025. In terms of design, it will feature dual-pod projector headlamps, LED taillights, silver-coloured multi-spoke alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna, roof rails, and more. It is expected to come with two battery packs - 48kWh or 60kWh, with a maximum range of 500 km on a single charge. It will be manufactured locally at Suzuki’s Gujarat-based manufacturing plant and will also be exported to select international markets including Europe and Japan. Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is currently available in a 5-seater avatar; however, the company is working on a new 3-row version. This 7-seater SUV will be based on an elongated Global C platform to accommodate a larger wheelbase & bigger SUV. It will be manufactured at Suzuki’s new production facility in Haryana, which is likely to be operational by year or in 2025. The SUV is expected to be offered in both 6 and 7-seat layout with the former having captain seats in the second row.  The upcoming 7-seater Grand Vitara is likely to continue with the same engine available in the current model, which includes a 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15C mild hybrid petrol engine and a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine. Maruti Fronx 2025 Facelift Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce a hybrid version of the Fronx model. Instead of using Toyota's hybrid technology, the manufacturer is developing its own hybrid engine, named HEV. It is expected to be highly fuel-efficient, and likely to offer a mileage of approximately 35 kmpl. The hybrid powertrain will comprise an all-new Z12E, 3-cylinder engine, a 1.5-2kWh battery pack, and an electric motor. The 3-cylinder engine will work as a generator to charge the battery pack, while the electric motor will drive the front wheels. Not just the hybrid powertrain, the Fronx facelift will also receive cosmetic design changes and more features inside the cabin. The new model is most likely to be launched in mid-2025. SUVs are hugely popular among car buyers, as it offers stylish looks, commanding driving position, high ground clearance and spacious interiors. Customers are now ready to shed extra to drive home a bigger 3-row SUVs, which is very much evident from the sales of XUV700, Scorpio and Fortuner. More automakers are now planning to enter the 7-seater SUV category. In this article, you will get an overview of the upcoming 7-seater SUVs launching in 2024 and 2025. New-gen Toyota Fortuner Toyota is planning to launch the new-gen Fortuner in the Indian market. Scheduled to be launched in 2025, the SUV will be based on the new TNGA-F modular platform. It is likely to house a 2.8-litre diesel engine, mated with a 48-V mild hybrid tech. However, the mild hybrid setup could only be offered with the higher variants while the lower variants will use non-hybrid 2.8-litre diesel unit. Inspired from the Tacoma pickup, the upcoming Fortuner will feature a semi-hexagon-shaped grille with three horizontal slats, new LED headlights with thinner and sleeker-looking LED DRLs within the headlamp unit. The side profile will be mostly the same except for a new set of alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it is expected to feature connected LED taillamps and a new bumper. New Ford Everest/Endeavour Ford is also preparing to re-introduce the popular Endeavour SUV. However, the India-spec model is likely to be called Everest. Expected to launch in 2025, the Ford Everest will be brought as a Completely Build-Up (CBU) unit. Globally, it is available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two tune options (single turbo and twin turbo) and a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed and 10-speed automatic gearbox. The new Everest will get a boxy front-fascia; it will feature a large grille, a horizontal bar in its middle and the new Matrix LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs. Inside, it is likely to provide a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Ford’s latest SYNC infotainment software and a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. However, the lower variants will get the 10.1-inch infotainment and 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Further, Ford may also use ADAS tech for the upcoming Everest SUV. New Kia EV9 The flagship 7-seater electric SUV from the brand, the EV9, was unveiled in its production avatar last year. It is now set to be fully imported into India for a launch expected in late 2024. Based on the E-GMP platform, the Kia EV9 will use the dedicated skateboard EV architecture. This platform is also shared with the latest Kia and Hyundai electric vehicles. It may come in both 2WD and 4WD versions, offering a range of approximately 400-500 km on a single full charge. Positioned above the EV6, it is likely to come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital cluster, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, connected technology, and various other amenities. Mahindra XUV.e8 Next on the line is the Mahindra XUV.e8 which will be launched by December 2024. Upon launch, it will be the first Mahindra car to be built on the Born Electric platform. The SUV shares styling cues from the XUV700 ICE version; however, it will have some EV-specific changes. It will have a closed front grille, a full-width LED light bar, flush door handles and newly styled headlamps.  Inside, the upcoming XUV.e8 is likely to feature a new twin-spoke steering wheel with a small display, large infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, new centre console and gear lever. As for the battery pack, the 2024 XUV.e8 could be powered by an 80kWh battery pack along with dual-motor AWD setup. The lower variants will have a single-motor setup.  7-Seater Grand Vitara Last but not least, Maruti Suzuki will introduce a 7-seater version of its popular SUV Grand Vitara. Expected to hit the market by 2025, it may offer both 6-and 7-seat configurations. It will be based on the elongated version of the Global C platform and the production will take place at Toyota's new facility in Haryana. The upcoming 7-seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (Y17) is expected to retain the current 1.5-litre four-cylinder K15C mild hybrid petrol engine, along with the 1.5-litre three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki will launch the new generation Swift hatchback in the Indian market in May 2024. The new Swift is already on sale in its home market, Japan, and the same model with some tweaks will arrive in our maret. Ahead of India launch, the new-gen Suzuki Swift has been crash tested and it is awarded with 4-star rating by Japan NCAP (New Car Assessment Program).  New Suzuki Swift - 4 Star Safety Rating  The crash test video available on the Internet reveals that the Swift's ADAS features were also tested by Japan-NCAP. The video shows the front collision of the Swift at 55kmph. It also previews the Swift's active safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, rear collision alert and lane keep assist. These features were tested and the hatchback passed all these tests.   The test was also conducted with a dummy cyclist, and the new Swift identifies both the cyclist and pedestrian. The Swift's ADAS managed to apply brakes even in the presence of a high beam from a vehicle in the opposite direction. The car is also tested for front and front side collisions at 55kmph and 64kmph, respectively. A side impact test was also conducted on the new Swift. The all new Maruti Swift scored 117.80 points out of a maximum of 197 points.  The hatchback scored 4 stars for driver and 5 stars for co-driver in the frontal collision test. In the offset frontal collision test, the driver's seat and the rear passenger's seat scored 4 stars and 3 stars, respectively. It scored 5 stars in the side collision test. The much-awaited new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is all set to be launched in the Indian market on May 9, 2024. Ahead of its official launch, unofficial bookings have opened by the select Maruti Suzuki dealerships. Those who are interested in buying a new Swift can book their hatchback by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. 2024 Maruti Swift: Dimensions and Design In terms of dimensions, the upcoming Swift is going to be 3,860 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, and 1,500 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. Compared to the existing car, the new Swift is around 15mm longer; however, the width and height have been reduced by 40mm and 30mm, respectively.  As for the design, the hatchback will come with a redesigned grille, sleeker front bumper, sleeker LED DRLs, new 16-inch alloy wheels, revamped tail-lights, and sportier rear bumper. It will also get the traditional door-mounted rear door handles instead of C-pillar mounted ones available in the current Swift. Tech Features The updated Swift will offer new features comprising a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features will include a heads-up display, a wireless charger, automatic AC, rear heater duct, and keyless entry. 2024 Maruti Swift Specifications With the launch of the fourth-generation Swift, Maruti will mark the debut of the new 1.2-litre, Z-Series petrol engine. This 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol unit can deliver the maximum power of 82 bhp with 108 Nm of peak torque. The updated Swift will come with a mild hybrid setup too. The mild hybrid unit will have a DC synchronous motor, which will provide an additional 3hp and 60Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. A CVT transmission is also likely to be on offer, however, it is not confirmed. Launch, Price and Rivals Maruti will launch the next-gen Swift most probably on 9th May 2024. The price for the hatchback will start from Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Tata Tiago.
