Maruti Brezza is an entry-level sub-4-metre SUV. It was the first SUV of Maruti Suzuki to be fully developed in India.
The Brezza was first introduced at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. It was presented as the XA Alpha Concept. It went on sale in 2016.
Since its launch the car has spawned two generations and numerous facelifts. Maruti Brezza was last updated in 2022. It received a generation change with a completely new design. The update included new mechanicals and smart features.
Maruti Brezza's design language for 2023 is evolving. However, it still preserves the boxy silhouette that customers appreciate.
The front end of the new model has been updated. It now features a gloss black grille with arrow-like elements. Additionally, new headlamp units with dual LED projector headlights have been added.
We can see new 16-inch geometric alloy wheels on the sides. Additionally, there is black body cladding and squared-off wheel arches. Towards the rear, it features a completely redesigned tailgate and new LED tail lamp units.
Interior:
One of the biggest changes on the New Maruti Brezza is an updated interior featuring modern technology. The cabin of the new generation MODEL has been finished in a dual tone black and brown theme. This gives it an upmarket feeling that was absent in the previous model.
Features:
On the inside, the SUV offers a brand-new cabin layout similar to the one seen on the recently launched Baleno. The centrepiece of the new interior is the large Smartplay Pro infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
This car has many great features. It has a 360-degree camera, Heads Up Display (HUD), wireless charging, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, and a sunroof. Additionally, it has a new brown theme with wood inlay.
Safety:
The 2023 Brezza is built on the global C-platform for safety. It has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, ESP and other basic safety equipment. The previous generation Maruti Brezza had scored a respected 4-Star Safety Rating in the GNCAP safety crash test.
Maruti Brezza's price in India starts from Rs 825900 and extends to Rs 1404000 (ex-showroom). The Brezza comes in 15 models: LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI Plus. It is available with either manual or automatic transmissions.
Maruti Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre engine. This unit is offered with both petrol and CNG fuel type. The petrol engine produces 104 bhp and 136.8 Nm of torque in the petrol guise. while the figures drop to 85 bhp and 121 Nm for the CNG version. The Brezza is offered with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox option.
The Maruti Brezza measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,695 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. The car gets a 48-litre fuel tank and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Brezza has a mileage of 20.15 kmpl for its petrol variants. Its CNG trims have a mileage of 25.51 km/kg.
