Brezza facelift gets a new 1,0L turbo petrol engine It gets an underbody-mounted CNG kit
The much-awaited 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift has finally been launched at a starting price of Rs 7.40 lakh. The new compact SUV comes with significant design and interior changes along with a new engine and gearbox option, and a longer list of features. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq and others in the category.
The updated Brezza gets a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, direct-injection turbo-petrol engine that produces 110hp and 170Nm of torque. Adding to it, the SUV retains the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated unit that is good for 103hp and 139Nm of torque. This engine also comes with a CNG kit; however, the Brezza facelift now gets an underbody-mounted CNK kit similar to the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. A six-speed manual gearbox is available as standard, while the 1.5L unit also gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.
The LXi and VXi turbo version is claimed to return 20.47kmpl, while the ZXi/ ZXi+ turbo offers an ARAI certified mileage of 19.96kmpl. The standard LXi and VXi Manual version return 21.09kmpl, and the ZXi MT delivers 20.81kmpl. The Brezza 1.5L AT version delivers a certified fuel economy of 20.17kmpl. Its CNG version delivers 26.90 km/kg.
The 2026 Maruti Brezza comes with subtle cosmetic changes. It gets a fresh front, featuring a new grille with a panel connecting the dark chrome finished headlamps. It has a redesigned bumper with dark chrome elements, and a newly designed faux skid plate. The LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs retains the original design, while the redesigned fog lamps are embossed in a new triangular housing.
The SUV features a new dual-tone cladding on the lower sides of doors.Adding to it, the Brezza facelift gets newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. The Turbo-petrol version gets ‘Turbo’ badge on the tailgate. Moreover, MSIL has added red accents for the grille, faux skid plates, and wheel arches. There is a ‘Turbo Boosterjet’ stickers on the rear quarter glass.
It is available in two new colours, including Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige along with dual-tone finishes. In terms of proportions, the SUV is 3995mm long, 1790mm wide, and 1685mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2500mm.
Inside the cabin, the Brezza facelift gets the same black-and-brown dual-tone theme. There are newer trim materials, and gloss black finish for certain parts. The leatherette seats now features updated upholstery, and the HVAC switches are sourced from the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The SUV gets a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with built-in navigation and ALEXA support.
In terms of features, the Maruti Brezza facelift gets 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, air purifier and active cooling for the wireless phone charger. For safety and security, the SUV gets tyre pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning and front parking sensors.
