Honda Cars India Pvt. Ltd. offers 3 car models, including SUV and sedans in India. This Japanese manufacturer sells 2 sedans and 1 SUV, which are manufactured at the brand's Tapukara based production plant in Rajasthan. Honda will also launch a wide range of new cars including all-new products, electric vehicles and new generations of existing cars.
The company's first offering in India was the Honda City sedan, which continues to be the brand’s best seller. The Honda Amaze is the compact sedan, while the HR-V is the mid-sized SUV in its line-up. Adding to it, the iconic Honda City sedan is in its 5th generation and is one of the most successful sedans in the country.
Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) was established in 1995 as a joint venture between Honda Motor Company (HMCL) and Usha International called Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI). In 2012, the Japanese brand bought a 100 percent stake in the company and renamed it as Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL). Currently, the brand operates from its manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan.
Honda currently has more than 430 authorised dealerships across 274 cities operating in India. Honda cars are known for their reliability, fuel efficient powertrains and for their resale value. Honda is currently offering petrol and hybrid cars in India. The company will soon enter the EV space with the Elevate SUV based electric-SUV. Honda City is the only car in its category to offer a strong hybrid powertrain.
Honda Cars price in India starts at Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Amaze sedan and extends to Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-of-the-line premium sedan, the City Hybrid.
Honda Cars are known for their i-VTEC engines that are known for their reliability, longevity and efficiency. Presently the Honda City e:HEV is the most fuel-efficient car with a claimed fuel economy of 26.5 kmpl. The Honda Amaze is claimed to offer a mileage of 18.6kmpl.
The upcoming Honda Cars in India include the next generation Honda Amaze sub-4 meter sedan. The company will also enter the electric vehicle segment with the all-new Elevate based mid-sized electric SUV. Adding to it, Honda is also planning to launch a new sub-4 meter SUV in the country.

The price range starts at Rs 6.43 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Amaze compact sedan and extends to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the City e:HEV.
The City V e:HEV is the most fuel efficient car with a claimed mileage of 26.5 kmpl. Following suit is the Amaze diesel, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 24 kmpl.
