Honda Accord

Honda is all set to expand its Indian product portfolio with multiple new products including both market-specific and global models. The company’s plan outlines six new model launches in FY2026-2027, with a strong focus on hybrids and EVs. While the new Honda City facelift has already gone on sale, the ZR-V is set to launch in June and Honda’s first electric SUV is slated to arrive in 2027.

The remaining three models could be the hybrid-powered Honda Accord, Civic and CR-V, all of which are currently under consideration for the Indian market.

Honda Accord Launch Date

If everything goes as per plan, the Honda Accord might make its way to India during the current financial year. Globally, the sedan is currently in its 11th-generationa with a new Civic-inspired design and interior, advanced tech and multiple powertrain options.

Accord Expected Price in India

The new Accord is likely to be brought to India as a CBU (completely built unit) with an estimated price range of Rs ₹50.00 Lakhs* – ₹60.00 Lakhs* (ex-showroom).

Key Features

The new-generation Honda Accord looks more premium than any of its previous generations. Similar to the Civic, it carries a minimalistic design language. Some of its key design highlights are a new ‘diamond-elements’ grille, sleek blacked-out headlamps, a fastback-type roofline, a long hood, 17-inch dual-tone wheels and wraparound LED taillamps with a centrally positioned Honda logo.

The interior of the Accord is heavily inspired by the Civic. The sedan offers a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.2-inch instrument clusters, reserved for the higher trims. It has a three-layered dashboard with soft-touch materials and concealed AC vents in mesh pattern.

The Accord comes with a comprehensive list of features, which includes a 12-sepaker Bose sound system, OTA (over-the-air) updates, wireless phone charging, connected car tech and more. The sedan offers 10 airbags as standard along with Honda Sensing ADAS suite.

Engine Specifications

Globally, the lower variants of the Accord are offered with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with a CVT transmission. This motor produces a maximum power of 192bhp and 260Nm of torque. The higher variants feature a 2.0L, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired to dual electric motors. Its combined output stands at 204bhp and 335Nm.

Competition

In India, the Honda Accord will face challenge from the BYD Seal and Toyota Camry. If priced between Rs 45 lakh – Rs 55 lakh, it could also rival the entry-level luxury sedan including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Lexus ES.
