Honda Elevate

Honda Cars India entered the highly competitive compact mid-size SUV segment with the Honda Elevate in September 2023. The SUV has received a positive response from car buyers achieving a constant sale of over 4,000 units per month. The SUV comes with a boxy design with modern styling elements, offering a big SUV-like appearance on road.

The interior of the Elevate is designed on Honda's "Man Maximum Machine Minimum '' philosophy. The SUV offers the segment-leading legroom and knee room space for all occupants. It is powered by a tried & tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with manual and CVT gearbox options. Honda has confirmed that the Elevate will receive an electric derivative in India by 2026.

The Honda Elevate mid-sized SUV is equipped with a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay and a single-pane sunroof. The SUV also comes fitted with a lane-watch camera, a reverse camera, a wireless phone charging and 6 airbags. The SUV comes fitted with an advanced driver assistance system with multiple safety features.

Honda Elevate: Exterior

The Honda Elevate mid-sized SUV comes with a more traditional and boxy styling, offering commanding road presence. The squarish front fascia features a big grille that accommodates a big Honda badge. The grille is flanked by thin, LED headlamps that are connected by a thick chrome bar.

The side profile is clean and simple with straight lines and limited curves and creases. It has slightly flared wheel arches, thick plastic cladding all around the body and the chunky C-pillar. There is a strong window line that merges nicely with the C-pillar. The belt line is not very strong, but appears in-sync with the overall styling. The SUV rides on 17-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The SUV's rear profile has boxy styling with limited cuts and creases. It has the wrap-around LED headlamps that are connected by a light bar. It has a dual-tone bumper that has a faux skid plate.

Dimensionally, the new Honda Elevate is 4312mm in length, 1790mm in width and 1650mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2650mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 220mm, which is the largest in the segment. It offers a ground clearance of 458-litres, which can be further extended by folding the rear seats.

Honda Elevate: Interior

The Honda Elevate mid-sized SUV comes with a dual-tone interior scheme. The dashboard layout is very simple and is dominated by a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The infotainment unit is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also supports e-SIM-based remote connectivity features via the Honda Connect application.

It comes with a 7-inch semi-digital instrument console and a single-pane electric sunroof. There are physical buttons to control AC and other functions. The SUV has big and comfortable seats for 5 adults. However, the middle-passenger in the second-row would feel uncomfortable due to big hump and raised central benTch. he Elevate mid-sized SUV comes loaded with features like a lane-watch camera, a lane-watch camera, reverse camera and a wireless phone charging.

Honda Elevate: Safety Features

For safety and security, the new Honda Elevate gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD & brake assist, brake override system, vehicle stability assist with electronic stability & traction control, and hill start assist as standard. It also comes with a lane-watch camera and a rear parking camera.

The Elevate also comes fitted with ADAS tech with features like a collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist.

Honda Elevate: Variants & Prices

This mid-sized SUV is available in 7 variants - and in single powertrain and two transmission options. Except for the SV trim, all trims are offered with manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. The Honda Elevate is available at a starting price of Rs 11.69 lakh which goes up to Rs 16.31 lakh for the top-end variant (ex-showroom).

Honda Elevate: Engine Specifications

The new Elevate is powered by a tried & tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the City sedan. This engine churns out a maximum power of 121PS and a peak torque of 145Nm. For transmission duties, the SUV gets a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox. It also gets 7-speed paddle shifters with the CVT automatic unit.

Honda Elevate: Mileage

The Elevate petrol manual version is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 15.31kmpl. On the other hand, the CVT version delivers 16.92kmpl.
