Mahindra Bolero Neo Overview
Mahindra Bolero Neo is a mini-SUV that competes in the popular subcompact SUV segment in India. The New Bolero Neo, which came out in 2021, is basically a renamed version of the TUV300. The TUV300 was already available for purchase in the country prior to this.
Built on the third generation Scorpio chassis, the ladder-on-frame construction lends the new SUV its rear-wheel drive configuration. The Bolero Neo was last updated at the end of 2022 when the vehicle received the new Twin-Peaks logo.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: Exterior
The Mahindra Bolero Neo’s exterior design is tough and boxy in appearance giving the four-wheeler an authentic SUV look. The familiar 6-slat grille sits at the top flanked by new swept back sporty headlamps with LED DRLs.
Lower down there is a large air dam in the centre along with different fog lamp housing and tough looking skid plates. Moving to the sides, the boxy treatment continues with an almost vertical windscreen and squared-off wheel arches. The SUV sits on twin 5-spoke R15 alloy wheels.
Towards the rear, we get to see the horizontally opening tailgate along with a tailgate mounted spare wheel. Overall, the design of the Bolero Neo is imposing from every angle.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: Interior and Features
Interior: On the inside, the Mahindra Bolero Neo offers a functional cabin layout. Finished in dual tone black and beige theme, the interior of the car provides decent quality plastics allround.
Features: The 2023 Bolero Neo gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and analogue twin-pod instrument cluster offering digital MID. In addition, the SUV also provides comfort features like power windows, height adjustable driver’s seat, tilt adjustable steering wheel, cruise control and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Safety: In terms of safety, the Bolero Neo gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, corner braking control, engine immobiliser, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors and more as standard fitment.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: Price and Variants
Mahindra Bolero Neo price in India starts from Rs 9.95 lakh and extends up to Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in 4 variants namely N4, N8, N10 and N10 (O) with only one powertrain option.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: Engine and Specification
The New Mahindra Bolero Neo is powered by the familiar 1.5-litre mHAWK100 diesel engine that delivers a maximum power output of 98 bhp with 260 Nm of peak torque. The power plant is mated to only a 5-speed manual gearbox option.
The Bolero Neo measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,821 mm in width and 1,627 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. The car gets a small 50-litre fuel tank and 15-inch alloy wheels.
