On the occasion of 80th Independence Day, Mahindra has revealed its new global lifestyle pickup - the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler. In the global markets, the pickup truck will be called the Lifestyler. It is essentially the production version of the Global Pik Up Concept that debuted in 2023.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Launch Date

Mahindra has officially announced that the Scorpio Lifestyler will be launched in the Indian market by April 2027. A possible launch at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo can’t be ignored.

Scorpio Lifestyler Expected Price in India

Mahindra has officially announced that the Scorpio Lifestyler will be priced under Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom. We expect the new lifestyle pickup could be priced between ₹19.79 Lakhs* and ₹20.79 Lakhs*, ex-showroom.

Key Features

The new Scorpio Lifestyler looks largely identical to the Global Pik Up Concept. It comes with high-set LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, wide honeycomb-patterned front grille, ‘SCORPIO’ word mark on the bonnet, aggressive bumper with pronounced skid plate, and LED fog lamps. The lifestyle pickup comes in a double-cab configuration, dual-tone alloy wheels, prominent side body cladding, vertically oriented LED tail-lamps with C-shaped DRLs, and a long cargo bed.

Inside the cabin, the lifestyle pickup gets a portrait-oriented infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, physical buttons for key functions, a digital instrument console and a three-spoke steering wheel. It is packed with dual-zone climate control, terrain modes, and auto-dimming IRVM. For safety and security, the Lifestyler will have multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, hill start assist and hill descent control, and others.

Specifications

The new Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to be offered with a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L turbo diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. A 4x4 drivetrain is expected to be offered as standard.

The upcoming Scorpio Lifestyler will rival the likes of the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max.
