Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler pickup spotted testing in India. Expected to start at Rs 19.89 lakh, with deliveries from April 2027. Likely to get petrol, diesel and 4x4 options.
Mahindra is preparing to expand the Scorpio nameplate beyond the SUV segment with the new Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck. The lifestyle pickup has been spotted testing in India, revealing more production-ready details ahead of its planned launch.
The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to start at around Rs 19.89 lakh (ex-showroom), with deliveries scheduled to begin in April 2027. It will be positioned as a lifestyle-focused pickup and will take on models such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup Spotted Testing
The latest test mule of the Scorpio Lifestyler was spotted testing in Coimbatore. The pickup continues to feature the production-spec exterior design that Mahindra showcased during its August 15 reveal in Mumbai. The front-end design shares a strong connection with the Scorpio N. It gets a large grille, sleeker LED headlamps and vertically arranged Ice Cube fog lights. The pickup also gets chunky bumpers and a rugged overall design. At the rear, the latest test vehicle features a production-spec tailgate with large MAHINDRA lettering and LED tail lights. The load bed is physically separated from the passenger cabin, giving the pickup a traditional truck-like layout.

Large Load Bed and Rugged Design
The Scorpio Lifestyler is designed for both lifestyle and utility use. Its load bed is expected to offer enough space for carrying motorcycles, bicycles and other outdoor equipment. It could also support accessories such as roof racks and camping equipment. The pickup gets chunky wheel-arch cladding and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped in 255-section tyres. Mahindra is also expected to use frequency-dependent dampers to improve ride comfort. The new pickup is being developed in India and will also be exported to international markets. It is expected to appeal to customers looking for a more rugged and versatile vehicle based on the Scorpio platform.
Scorpio Lifestyler Cabin and Features
The cabin is expected to get several changes compared with the Scorpio N. The pickup will feature a dedicated steering wheel and a redesigned dashboard with vertically positioned AC vents. A large portrait-style infotainment screen will sit in the centre, while the instrument cluster will use a landscape-oriented TFT display. Other expected features include dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, ventilated seats, surround-view cameras and driver monitoring. Mahindra is also expected to offer advanced driver assistance features on the Scorpio Lifestyler, making it more feature-rich than traditional lifestyle pickups.
Petrol and Diesel Engine Options
The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to use the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines. Both manual and automatic gearbox options are expected. A four-wheel-drive system with a transfer case and selectable terrain modes is also expected to be available, at least on selected variants. This should give the pickup better capability on rough terrain and off-road surfaces.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Price and Launch
The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to start at around Rs 19.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra is planning to begin deliveries in April 2027. The new pickup will expand the Scorpio nameplate into a new body style and could serve as a spiritual successor to the earlier Scorpio Getaway. More details about variants, features and specifications are expected to be revealed closer to its launch.
