Mahindra plans to launch five new launches by June 2027. It could include two SUVs and a one pickup truck. The lineup might include Vision S, BE 07 and Scorpio pickup.
Earlier this year, Mahindra & Mahindra announced to expand its product lineup with 16 new models by 2031. The upcoming lineup will include ten ICE-powered models and six electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the homegrown automaker is gearing up to launch five models in the first half of 2027. These will include three mainstream passenger vehicles, a new light commercial vehicle and a facelifted model. The names and details of these upcoming models are still under wraps.
Mahindra is already testing the Vision S subcompact SUV, BE 07 and Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck. There is a strong possibility that we could see the production-ready versions of these models in the coming months. Ahead of their arrival, let’s take a look at the key details.
A New Rugged SUV
The Mahindra Vision S is undergoing extensive testing and several spy images suggest that the production model will share a strong resemblance with the concept. The SUV will feature an upright and boxy stance and will be aimed at moder urban buyers.
The front fascia will look aggressive with Mahindra’s familiar grille featuring horizontal slats, a sporty bumper and LED headlamps. Other design highlights will include ORVMs integrated camera for a 360-degree setup, massive wheel arch cladding and LED taillamps. Based on the NU_IQ platform, the Mahindra Vision SUV is expected to borrow several features from the newly-launched Thar OG.
Official powertrain specifications are yet to be revealed. However, the production-ready Vision S is expected to be offered with multiple powertrain options including petrol, diesel and electric. The electric model could join the lineup at a later stage.
New BE Electric SUV
The Mahindra BE 07 could be one of the upcoming models planned for launch by June 2027. The electric SUV is expected to share its powertrains with the BE 6, which is currently available with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery pack options. All three versions feature a single electric motor and RWD (rear-wheel drive) system. The 79kWh battery pack version delivers the highest claimed driving range of 708km.
Spy images reveal that the BE 07 will come with a triple screen dashboard, a dashcam, a glass roof with illuminated elements, multi-colour ambient lighting, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Lifestyle Pickup Truck
The next in-line could be the production-ready Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler, which was first showcased as the Global Pik Up concept in 2023. Sharing its chassis with the Scorpio N SUV, the pickup truck will look muscular with a wide honeycomb patterned grille with chrome accents, high-set LED headlamps with L-shaped DRL signatures, vertically oriented LED fog lamps, a muscular skid plate with ‘Mahindra’ lettering at the front.
The pickup truck also gets a double cab configuration along with sporty side cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails and vertically oriented LED taillamps with C-shaped DRLs.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler could feature the Scorpio N’s 175bhp, 2.2-litre diesel and 203bhp, 2.0-litre direct0injection turbo petrol engines. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The pickup truck is likely to come with a 4WD (four-wheel drive) configuration.
