Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG bookings open, deliveries begin. Prices start at Rs. 9.99 lakh. Turbo-CNG engine claims 24.7 km/kg mileage.
Mahindra has opened bookings for the XUV 3XO ZNG across India, and customer deliveries of the factory-fitted CNG SUV have also begun. Prices start at Rs. 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 12.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can book the Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG by paying Rs. 21,000 through authorised dealerships or the company’s online portal. Test drives started on October 15.
The new SUV comes with a turbocharged CNG engine that produces 111 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. The XUV 3XO ZNG is available in four variants: MX Edge, RevX Edge (O), AX5 and RevX A.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh for the MX Edge variant. The RevX Edge (O) is priced at Rs. 10.79 lakh, while the AX5 costs Rs. 11.19 lakh. The top-spec RevX A is available at Rs. 12.27 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The four variants offer different levels of equipment, allowing buyers to choose a model based on their budget and preferred features.

The XUV 3XO ZNG uses Mahindra’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder mStallion turbo-petrol engine, adapted to run on CNG. In CNG mode, the engine produces 111 hp at 5,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range.
Mahindra claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. The company also states that the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 4.9 seconds and from 0 to 100 kmph in 11.8 seconds while running on CNG. To support the CNG setup, Mahindra has made changes to the turbocharger and engine control unit. The CNG injection system operates at 10 bar.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG gets two CNG cylinders fitted beneath the luggage compartment. This setup keeps the boot floor flat and provides 270 litres of luggage space. The spare wheel is placed underneath the vehicle.
For comparison, the petrol and diesel versions offer 364 litres of boot space. This means the CNG version has 94 litres less storage space due to the additional fuel system. The SUV measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,821 mm in width and 1,647 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
Mahindra has equipped the XUV 3XO ZNG with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, three-point seatbelts for all occupants and rear parking sensors. These safety features are standard across all four variants.
The SUV also gets an integrated gas leak detector. If the system detects a CNG leak, it can switch the engine to petrol. The vehicle also changes to petrol automatically when the CNG supply runs out. An NGV fast-filling valve is included to make refuelling quicker. Drivers can also check average and real-time fuel efficiency information.
The standard Mahindra XUV 3XO received five stars for adult occupant protection and five stars for child occupant protection under Bharat NCAP. These ratings apply to the tested XUV 3XO configuration and should not be treated as a separate crash-test rating for the ZNG version.
The entry-level MX Edge gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay. Other features include a four-speaker audio system, cruise control, rear AC vents, a rear-view camera, steering-mounted audio controls, Type-C charging and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The RevX Edge (O) adds a Skyroof, electrically folding ORVMs, automatic headlamps and wipers, push-button start and black leatherette upholstery. It also gets roof rails and a dual-tone exterior finish.
The AX5 offers more technology and comfort features, including twin 10.25-inch displays, six speakers, AdrenoX connectivity, built-in Alexa and online navigation. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 65W Type-C charger and LED projector headlamps are also included. The variant rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the top of the range, the RevX A gets a sunroof, Dolby Atmos audio, black leatherette seats, dual-tone paint and 16-inch black alloy wheels.
