XUV 3XO CNG vs Brezza CNG vs Nexon CNG: Which SUV Offers Better Mileage?
Maruti Brezza CNG claims the highest mileage at 26.90 km/kg. XUV 3XO CNG claims 24.70 km/kg with a turbocharged engine. Tata Nexon CNG has a claimed mileage of 17.44 km/kg.
Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO CNG in India, with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs. 12.27 lakh. The new CNG SUV comes with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine and claims a mileage of 24.7 km/kg. With the XUV 3XO CNG entering the market, it is time to see how its claimed fuel efficiency compares with its rivals, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG and Tata Nexon CNG. While the Brezza CNG claims a higher mileage, the XUV 3XO CNG offers a turbocharged engine. The Nexon CNG also gets a turbocharged engine, but its claimed mileage is lower than both rivals.

Maruti Brezza CNG Offers the Highest Mileage
Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG leads this comparison with a claimed mileage of 26.90 km/kg. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which means it does not use a turbocharger. The Brezza CNG could be a good choice for buyers who want to save on daily fuel costs. However, its single CNG cylinder takes up some space in the boot, leaving less room for luggage.

Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Claims 24.7 km/kg
Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG has a claimed mileage of 24.70 km/kg. What makes it stand out is its 1.2-litre turbocharged engine, which is designed to offer a mix of performance and fuel savings. The engine produces around 110 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Mahindra also claims that the SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 11.8 seconds. The XUV 3XO CNG uses two smaller CNG cylinders placed under the boot floor. This setup helps keep some luggage space available above them, making the SUV more practical for everyday use. The XUV 3XO CNG is available in four variants, with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh and going up to Rs. 12.27 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Nexon CNG Claims 17.44 km/kg
Tata Nexon CNG has a claimed mileage of 17.44 km/kg, which is lower than the figures claimed by the other two SUVs in this comparison. It uses a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine and comes with two CNG cylinders placed under the boot floor. This layout helps make better use of the available luggage space compared with a traditional single-cylinder setup that sits in the boot. While its claimed mileage is lower, buyers may still consider the Nexon CNG based on its price, features, driving feel and everyday needs.
Which CNG SUV Should You Choose?
If mileage is your main concern, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG comes out on top with a claimed figure of 26.90 km/kg. The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG is close behind and may appeal to buyers who want a turbocharged engine along with good claimed mileage. The Tata Nexon CNG has the lowest claimed mileage among the three, but its other features and overall value may still make it worth considering.
Keep in mind that these are claimed mileage figures. Actual fuel efficiency will depend on traffic, road conditions, driving habits and how well the vehicle is maintained. It is a good idea to take a test drive and compare the features and prices before making a final decision.
