Denza is a Chinese luxury carmaker, which is fully owned by BYD. The company was first established as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz in 2010. In 2014, the company launched its first model, the Denza EV in selected Chinese cities. 

In 2021, Mercedes-Benz had reduced its share in Denza to 10% with BYD holding the rest. In September 2024, Mercedes-Benz transferred the remaining 10% stake to BYD. Denza is currently present in multiple international markets, including Europe, Southeast Asia and Middle East. 

The luxury carmaker, Denza is currently selling multiple models such as D9 MPV, the N7 and N9 SUVs and the Z9 full-size car. The brand’s global line-up includes plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric models. The first Denza model in our market will be the D9 executive MPV, which will be launched by early 2027. It will be offered with an electric powertrain; however, a plug-in hybrid engine is also under consideration.
