Nissan Cars is a Japanese manufacturer that offers a lean model line-up targeting only a selected sector of the Indian automobile market. Currently, the company's portfolio consists of two SUVs, the Kicks and the Magnite.
Nissan Motors India Private Limited was established in 2005 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor Company Limited, Japan. The company operated two brands under its umbrella (Nissan and Datsun) until 2022. Presently, the company has a manufacturing unit near Chennai, which was set up together with its global alliance partner, Renault in a record time of 21 months.
Nissan Cars first product in India was the X-Trail, which was received well by the citizens for its large size, luxurious interiors and powerful engine. Since then, the automaker has given the Indian market new and unique products like the Sunny, Micra, 370Z and the GT-R.
Nissan Cars price in India starts at Rs 5.85 lakhs (ex-showroom) for Magnite SUV and extends to Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Kicks SUV.
Recently, Nissan Cars launched the Magnite Red edition in India at Rs 7.86 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV has been well received by customers for its peppy 1.0-litre engine and attractive interiors.
The best mileage car is the Magnite with its 1.0-litre engine that offers a claimed fuel economy of 20 kmpl. The Kicks follows closely with a mileage of 16 kmpl.
