Nissan Pixo is a new compact electric car for European markets It gets a 27.5kWh LFP battery with up to 259km WLTP range The Pixo gets Google Gemini, a 10-inch touchscreen and 50kW DC charging
Nissan has revealed the new Pixo, a small electric car designed for urban driving in Europe. The new EV combines compact dimensions with modern technology and a simple electric powertrain. It has been developed by Nissan Design Europe and Nissan Technical Centre Europe in partnership with Renault. The Nissan Pixo will be manufactured at Renault’s Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia, with European deliveries expected to begin in early 2027.
Nissan Pixo Gets a Distinctive Design
The Pixo has been designed as a dedicated electric car rather than simply an existing petrol model converted to electric power. It gets a boxy shape with short overhangs and a compact footprint. At the front, the EV gets pixel-style lighting and a bumper design that Nissan describes as giving it a “robot face”. The Pixo name is also integrated into the front design, while the rear gets Nissan lettering across the tailgate. The car can be specified in colours such as Wonder Purple and Gear Blue, both paired with black exterior elements. It also gets pixel-inspired 18-inch alloy wheels. The Pixo measures 3,796mm in length and 1,790mm in width. It has a 9.9-metre turning circle, making it suitable for tight city streets and parking spaces.

Interior Gets a Tech-Focused Layout
Inside, the Nissan Pixo gets a vertical dashboard design with a textured finish and orange detailing around the air-conditioning vents. Unlike many newer cars, Nissan has retained physical controls for the climate system. The cabin gets a 7-inch digital driver display along with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A large drive selector stalk is positioned between the front seats.
Nissan says the Pixo can comfortably accommodate four adults. The rear seats can also slide individually to offer more flexibility between passenger space and luggage room. The boot offers 356 litres of space, although 50 litres of this area is occupied by the charging cable.
Google Gemini Comes to the Pixo
One of the biggest highlights of the new Nissan Pixo is its connected technology. Nissan says the car will feature Google Gemini, which it describes as a first-in-segment feature. The system supports 16 languages and dialects and works with Google built-in services. The car also gets the MyNissan app, allowing owners to access various vehicle functions remotely. The Pixo also uses Face ID driver recognition. This can identify the driver and load personalised settings. For safety, the EV gets a range of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and Hands-Free Parking.
259km Range From a 27.5kWh Battery
The Nissan Pixo uses a 27.5kWh LFP battery pack paired with a single electric motor producing 82hp. Nissan has not yet announced the torque figure or detailed performance numbers. The EV has a claimed WLTP range of up to 259km, which should make it suitable for regular city commuting. For charging, the Pixo supports up to 50kW DC fast charging. Nissan claims the battery can be charged from 15 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes. It also supports 11kW bidirectional AC charging, adding another useful feature to its compact EV package.
Nissan Pixo European Launch
The Nissan Pixo is aimed at the European urban car market, where compact dimensions and affordable electric mobility are becoming increasingly important. Nissan is yet to announce the price of the Pixo. European deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.
