Force Motors is an Indian automobile manufacturing company that deals in agricultural, commercial and passenger vehicle segments in the Indian market. The Gurkha SUV is the brand’s only four-wheeler present in the passenger vehicle segment. 

Force Motors was incorporated in the year 1958, then named as Baja Tempo Ltd. In 1982, the company collaborated with Daimler Benz to produce Mercedes Benz OM 616 engines under license. Currently, the brand operates two manufacturing facilities. The first is the Chennai unit which produces and tests engines for BMW cars and SUVs made in India. The second is the state-of-the-art plant at Chakan, Maharashtra inaugurated to produce engines and axles for all Mercedes Benz cars and SUVs made in India.

Recently, Force Motors gave the Gurkha a major update, bringing it up to speed for 2022.
