Bayon Launch Date

Hyundai hasn’t officially announced the launch date of the Bayon crossover in India. We expect the new Hyundai Bayon to launch in our market by October-November 2026.

The Bayon crossover will sit below the Venue sub-4 meter SUV in the Hyundai India line-up. The new Hyundai Bayon price in India likely to start at Rs ₹7.00 Lakhs* for base model and Rs ₹14.00 Lakhs* for the top-end variant, ex-showroom, Pan India.

The new Hyundai Bayon is likely to share the interior features with the new-gen Venue compact SUV. It will have a twin 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and driver’s display, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other key features include wireless charger, automatic climate control, connected car tech, sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and ventilated front seats. 

Safety Features

The new Bayon will come with several high-end safety and security features. It will have six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), traction control system, rear parking sensors as standard. The higher-spec variants will have 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system. The SUV will also get LEVEL 2 ADAS with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, auto high beam and others.

Engine Specifications

The new Hyundai Bayon crossover will be powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the Venue and Grand i10 Nios. It will also get the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired to either a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Hyundai is also preparing a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which will be hybrid ready. This engine could be offered with the Bayon crossover.

Competition

The new Bayon will directly rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
