Hyundai Next-Gen Creta Price in India
India’s top-selling midsize SUV, the Hyundai Creta is heading for its third generational upgrade. The SUV is currently in its initial testing phase, and has been spotted multiple times revealing several intriguing details. The next-generation Hyundai Creta will witness radical design changes along with a more feature-packed and tech-laden interior. It will also be benefited with major mechanical upgrades.
The all-new Creta will make its global debut in 2027, followed by its India launch later the same year. However, Hyundai has not yet revealed the exact launch date and details.
With comprehensive mechanical and tech upgrades, feature enhancements and a completely new design language, the 2027 Hyundai Creta is expected to be priced from Rs 11 lakh for the base variant and nearly Rs 21-22 lakh for the top trim.
The new Hyundai Creta 2027 will appear boxier and more upright compared to the current generation. The SUV will draw design inspiration from the ‘Electric’ Hyundai Crater concept, which was showcased at the 2025 LA Motor Show. Key highlights might include an entirely new front grille, redesigned headlamps, a steeply raked windscreen, a sloping roofline, new 18-inch alloy wheels and shorter overhangs.
In select global markets, the new Creta will be sold under the ‘Hyundai Kona’ nameplate and underpin the Hyundai-Kia Group’s K3 platform. This architecture is compatible with multiple powertrains including ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid and electric. Similar to the new Kia Selots, the 2027 Creta will grow dimensionally, making it longer and more spacious than before.
Inside, the new Creta will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Hyundai’s Pleos Connect infotainment system along with an upgraded ADAS suite and improved connected car tech. Features such as black leatherette upholstery, front seat headrest and adjustable headrests for rear seat passengers will also be on offer.
The 2027 Hyundai Creta is expected to retain its engine options, which include a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel. Gearboxes will also be carried forward including a 6-speed manual (standard), a 6-speed automatic (diesel only) and a 7-speed DCT (turbo-petrol only).
A strong hybrid powertrain is also expected to join the SUV lineup, either at the launch or at a later stage. Hyundai is likely to pair the 1.5L petrol engine with an electric motor to ensure improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
In the midsize SUV segment, the Hyundai Creta will continue to face challenge from the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster and Honda Elevate.
| Variants | Expected Price |
|---|---|
| Hyundai Next-Gen Creta EX (O) | ₹12.43 Lakh* |
