Next-gen Hyundai Creta to launch in early 2027 It will be based on the new K3 platform. The new model will be a more premium, tech-heavy small SUV.
Hyundai has been extensively testing the next-generation of Creta SUV in India as well on foreign soil. Based on the leaked images and spy shots, NyMammoth has released a new rendering of the 2027 Hyundai Creta. For people not in the know, Hyundai will also sell the third-gen model as the new Kona in international markets. The new model is reportedly to be revealed in early 2027, and a possible debut at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo can’t be ignored.
The Korean media reports that Hyundai has accelerated the next Creta project to address a shifting consumer demand for more premium, tech-heavy small SUV. The new model will come with significant structural and architectural changes.

Instead of the quirky, rounded design, the new generation Hyundai Creta move toward a more cohesive futuristic aesthetic. The new model is reportedly to be inspired by the Crater Concept, which is also evident from the spy images. However, the rendering shows that Hyundai has opted for a completely new design that doesn’t look like anything we have seen before from the company.
The new model has a taller hood line and a more vertical front fascia, and a flatter roof to offer a rugged, SUV profile. Its high-end variants are likely to integrate parametric pixel elements in the lighting units, aligning the ICE Creta with the Ioniq EV sub-brand. In fact, the next-gen Creta is also expected to receive an electric derivative.

Like the new Seltos, the Hyundai’s SUV is expected to have a wheelbase of around 2690mm. The SUV could measure around 4.45-4.5 meters in length, leaving enough space to introduce the new Bayon midsize SUV.
Previous spy images confirmed that the new Creta will get Hyundai’s Pleos Connect system, featuring a massive central touchscreen paired with a sleek digital driver’s display. The company will retain the physical buttons and dials for core controls to minimise driver distraction. Due to longer wheelbase, the 2027 Hyundai Creta will offer more space inside the cabin along with the bigger boot. The SUV will have a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats and others.
The next-gen Hyundai Creta will retain the current engines choices, including a 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel. This time around, the SUV is also expected to receive a 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine. The strong hybrid engine is likely to be based on the 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a small battery pack and a single electric motor.
