VinFast VF 6

September 6, 2025: VinFast has finally launched the VF6 mid-sized electric SUV at a starting price of Rs 16.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The electric SUV is equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack and a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The SUV is claimed to offer a certified range of up to 468km in a single charge.

The VF6 mid-sized electric SUV is available in two trims - Earth and Wind - and in total of 3 variants. The VinFast VF6 price in India starts at Rs ₹16.49 Lakhs* and extends up to Rs ₹18.29 Lakhs*, ex-showroom, Pan-India.

The new VinFast VF6 electric SUV is equipped with LED lighting system, including automatic headlamp, LED tail-lights and follow-me-home, LED turn indicators and LED DRLs. In terms of features, the electric SUV gets 18-inch, Machine cut alloys, powered ORVMs with heated function, 8-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, Head-up Display, Panoramic glassroof and others.

It is packed with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an 8-speaker audio system, and Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) update, etc. 

Safety Features

For safety and security, the VinFast VF6 gets 7 airbags (Driver, Co-driver, Front sides, Curtain and Driver knee) as standard. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control system, rain sensing wipers, TPMS, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree surround view camera, and electronic parking brake with Auto Hold. 

Range and Charging

The VinFast VF6 is available with a 59.6kWh battery pack in two state of tunes. It is only offered in a front-wheel-drive layout with base model offering 174bhp and 250Nm. The higher-spec variants with front-axle-mounted electric motor that offers 201bhp and 310Nm.

Dimensions and Boot Space

The new VF6 is a mid-sized SUV, measuring 4241mm in length, 1834mm in width and 1615mm in height. This SUV has a wheelbase of 2730mm, while the ground clearance stands at 190mm. The VinFast VF6 has a boot space of 423-litres, which can be further extended by folding the second-row seats.

The new VinFast VF6 directly rivals the Hyundai Creta EV, MG Windsor EV PRO, Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV.
