VinFast VF 3

VinFast has established itself among the top four EV brands in India, despite catering a niche segment. Competitive pricing, a strong value proposition and premium positioning have helped the carmaker drive sales in the Indian market Aiming to further expand its product portfolio, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer plans to introduce VF3 two-door, four-seater VinFast VF 3 electric SUV.  

VinFast VF 3 Launch Date

The official launch date of the VF 3 EV is yet to be revealed by the carmaker, while the compact electric SUV is expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.

VF3 Expected Price in India

In global markets, the VinFast VF 3 is available in two variants – Eco and Plus – which are currently priced at Rs 299 million VND (approx. Rs 9.8 lakh) and 322 million VND (around Rs 10.6 lakh), respectively. In India, the two-door EV is estimated to be priced at ₹9.00 Lakhs* (ex-showroom).

Key Features

The Vinfast VF 3 measures 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width, and 1,622mm in height. The EV sits on a 2,075mm long wheelbase, and offers a ground clearance of 191mm. The front fascia looks aggressive with a closed-off grille with gloss black finish, squarish halogen headlamps, signature V-shaped chrome garnish integrating the Vinfast logo, sporty bumper, upright bonnet and short overhang.

The EV also features flared wheel arches, 16-inch alloy wheels with aero-style covers, thick back body cladding, blacked out A, B and C-pillars, functional roof rails, sliver skid plate-style garnish at the rear, connected halogen taillamps, high mounted stop lamp.

The VF 3 EV has a minimalist yet practical interior with a 4-seat configuration, and an upright seating position. The dashboard has clean design with an integrated floating central touchscreen along with two-spoke D-cut steering wheel. Digital driving information are displayed into the center screen.

Other key features include dual-tone interior theme, 4-way manually adjustable front seat, manual AC unit, cabin dust filter, front defogger, OTA (over-the-air) updates, USB Type-C charging port, two speaker sound system, driver airbag, brake assist, traction control, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, seatbelt reminder, child safety locks and more.

Engine Specifications

The powertrain setup of the VF 3 comprises an 18.64kWh LFP battery pack, and a rear-mounted electric motor, producing power worth 43.5bhp and 110Nm of torque. The EV delivers a claimed range of up to 201km on a full charge (NEDC cycle). It accelerates 0 to 50kmph in 5.3 seconds. The VF 3 supports fast charging, allowing battery to charge from 10 to 70 percent in just 36 minutes.

Competition

The Vinfast VF 3 will come as a direct rival to the MG Comet, which is currently priced between Rs 7.50 lakh – Rs 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of pricing, it will also take on the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Punch EV.
