11 June 2025 - Tata Motors is giving heavy discounts including green bonuses and exchange/scrappage offers on the MY2024 Tata Curvv EV. All MY2024 variants of the Curvv EV are available with benefits up to Rs 70,000, which includes Rs 50,000 green bonus and an exchange/scrappage offer of up to Rs 20,000.
13 May 2025 - Tata Motors has delivered its Curvv.ev and Tiago.ev to the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Adding to it, the Tata.ev range is available on GeM (Government e Marketplace) for the government departments across the country. The new EV is claimed to have more than 50% Make-in-India content, which makes Tata a proud Class 1 supplier under the Public Procurement Policy.
13 April 2025 - the Tata Curvv EV Dark edition has been launched in the country. Based on the top-spec Empowered Plus A variant, the new Dark Edition comes at a premium of Rs 25,000 over the regular model. It comes with an all-black exterior and interior, giving a sporty appearance.
Tata Curvv EV is the homegrown automobile manufacturer’s foray into the sports coupe SUV segment. The Curvv EV blends the toughness of an SUV with the elegance and sporty silhouette of a coupe.
The electrified Curvv is based on the Acti.ev architecture that also underpins the Punch.ev. It gets two battery packs - 45 kWh and 55 kWh. While the current rivals include Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3, its true competition will be the upcoming Citroen Basalt based EV.
The Tata Curvv EV is up for grabs in five personas - Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished S+, Empowered+ and Empowered+ - and in total of 8. The Curvv EV price in India starts at Rs 1749000 and extends up to Rs 2224000, ex-showroom, Pan India.
Most value for money variant
With the introductory prices in effect, we recommend the Empowered+ A variant as it comes with all the bells and whistles, including Level 2 Advanced Driver’s Assistance Systems (ADAS). Out of the 20 on board, some features of the safety suite include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Curvv EV also offers six airbags as standard, an Electronic Stability Programme, an electronic parking brake and all-wheel disc brakes. At the moment, there is no direct competition to the Curvv EV in the sports coupe segment.
12.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof
Level 2 ADAS
18-inch alloy wheels
Powered tailgate
360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring
Front Ventilated Seats
Besides the above features, the Curvv EV also boasts front parking sensors, wireless charging, an air purifier with AQI display, a two-stage rear seat recline, mood lighting, leatherette upholstery, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. It also comes equipped with an acoustic vehicle alert system and Arcade.ev app suite.
The Curve EV is extremely high on safety as it scored a five-star crash test rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP). Safety features include six airbags as standard, rear parking sensors, disc brakes on all four wheel, auto hold function, electronic parking (EPB), and ABS with EBD. The Level 2 ADAS offered on the Curvv EV has 20 features, including lane departure warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Tata offers two battery packs with the Curvv EV - 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The former and latter are paired with permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) producing 148 bhp and 165 bhp, respectively. Torque output for both versions stand at 215Nm.
Three drive modes, Eco, City and Sport, are available as well which alter both performance and battery consumption. This unit is capable of accelerating to 100 kilometres per hour from a standstill in 8.6 seconds. There will be multi-mode regenerative braking as well to make the most out of the battery.
As mentioned earlier, the Curvv EV comes with a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh battery pack, offering a certified range of over 502 km and 585 km, respectively on a single charge. While we haven’t tested it out yet, expect a real-world range ranging between 400 km to 450 km.
Interior - it gets a panoramic sunroof letting in more light in the cabin, giving it an airy feeling. It also has driver power-adjustable seats and a Level 2 Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Other amenities include dual-zone climate control AC, wireless charging, ventilated seats, a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, paddle shifters, 12.3-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Curvv EV also has V2L (vehicle to load) functionality as well.
Infotainment and Connectivity (Music System) - as anticipated, the electric Curvv gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit paired with JBL speakers beside a 10.25-inch digital instrument console. Tata has also offered wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the SUV.
Design Highlights - the Curvv ICE is a coupe SUV with sharp body lines, flush-type door handles and a sporty front grille. It gets a closed-off grille, a powered tailgate and flower-shaped alloy wheels. Usual bits like the DRLs front and back and LED headlights are present and towards the side, there are dual-tone alloy wheels measuring 18 inches.
Warranty & Maintenance - there is a two-year warranty on offer. However, the brand also offers warranty extensions of up to three years. The one and two-year warranty extension packs come at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 25,999, while the three-year one costs Rs. 48,999.
The Curvv EV has a length of 4,308 mm, a width of 1,810 mm and a height of 1,630 mm. Sitting on the Acti.ev platform, the SUV has a wheelbase of 2,560 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm.
Overall, there are 35 storage spaces in the compact electric SUV. Talking about the boot space, you get 500 litres of storage space enough to store three to four suitcases. The SUV also features a 60:40 split-folding rear seat, which gives increased versatility for carrying larger items.
The Curvv EV is available in 5 exterior colour options including, Virtual Sunrise, Empowered Oxide, Pure Grey, Flame Red and Pristine White
In the electric sports coupe category, the Curvv EV lacks any competition at the moment. Considering its price bracket, it rivals the Mahindra XUV400 and MG ZS EV.
