The new Tata Sierra top-spec variant is packed with a triple screen dashboard comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch co-occupant entertainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Other features include LEVEL 2+ ADAS, six-way powered driver’s seat with 3 memory function, Powered ORVMs, Bi-LED booster headlamps, powered tailgate with gesture control, 12-speaker JBL music system with Dolby ATMOS and AR HUD. 

Safety Features Tata Sierra

For safety and security features, the new Tata Sierra gets six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, reverse parking sensors, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Assist Control, Traction Control System, ABS with EBD, etc as standard. The higher-spec variant gets front parking sensors, 360-degree surround view camera, and LEVEL 2+ ADAS tech. The ADAS features include adaptive cruise control with stop-&-go traffic assist, forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, auto high beam, autonomous emergency braking and others. 

Engine Specifications

Tata Sierra is available with three engine options: a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre, turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. The naturally-aspirated engine is capable of producing 105bhp and 145Nm of torque, and is paired to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCA (dual-clutch automatic). On the other hand, the turbo-petrol engine produces 158bhp and 255Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. 

The diesel engine is the same unit that powers the Curvv and Nexon. This engine produces 116bhp and 260Nm of torque when paired with 6-speed manual gearbox. Torque rises to 280Nm when paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.

Mileage of Tata Sierra

Tata Motors has not released the fuel efficiency of the Sierra lifestyle SUV. We expect the petrol version to return around 15-18kmpl, while the diesel model could deliver around 17-20kmpl. 

Dimensions and boot space of Tata Sierra

In terms of proportions, the new Tata Sierra is 4340mm in length, 1841mm in height and 1715mm in width. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2730mm, which is the longest in the segment. The Sierra ground clearance stands at 205mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions.

Thanks to longer wheelbase, the new Tata Sierra has the largest boot space in the category. It offers a luggage carrying capacity of 622-litres, which can be further extended to over 1200-litres by folding the second-row seats.

The new Tata Sierra is available in six exterior colour choices - Pure Grey, Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Munnar Mist, Coorg Clouds, and Bengal Rouge.
