Tata Next-gen Nexon

Tata Motors has started testing the next-gen Nexon compact SUV on the Indian roads. Expected to be revealed at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the new Tata Nexon will receive comprehensive design and interior changes along with mechanical upgrades. It is expected to be offered with petrol and CNG fuel options along with the next-gen EV powertrain; however, the future of diesel engines remains uncertain.

New Nexon Launch Date

Tata Motors hasn't revealed the launch date of the next-gen Nexon. We believe that the SUV could be revealed at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo with launch expected by mid-2027.

Next-gen Tata Nexon Expected Price

The next SUV will receive significant updates, in terms of features and premium cabin. We expect the next-gen Tata Nexon could price around ₹8.00 Lakhs* and ₹14.00 Lakhs*, ex-showroom.

Top Changes and Features

The spy images confirm that the next Nexon will receive significant structural and visual changes from the outgoing iteration. Instead of the coupe-like roofline, the compact SUV in the new avatar will have a flatter roof section and a taller, more upright C-pillar. It will have a sharper and more angular A-pillar design, which is complemented by a completely redesigned rear door stampings. The SUV will have wider rear haunches, a flatter rear windscreen, new wheel arches and a larger integrated roof spoiler, and new alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the SUV is expected to get big changes. It is likely to feature a larger dual-screen digital setup for infotainment and instrumentation, an augmented-reality HUD, LEVEL 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, and connected car tech.

Engine Specifications

The next-gen Tata Nexon is expected to be offered with the 1.2L turbo petrol and dual-cylinder iCNG setups. The SUV could also get a flex-fuel version. Tata Motors could phase out the existing 1.5L diesel engine due to cost escalation associated with meeting stricter emission norms.
