The next-gen Tata Nexon has been spotted with alloy wheels similar to the Tata Curvv. The exact wheel size is not confirmed, but a larger setup could be offered on higher variants. The new Tata Nexon is expected to launch in India in 2027.
Tata Motors is testing the next-generation Nexon ahead of its expected 2027 launch. The latest test mule has been spotted with alloy wheels that look similar to the ones offered on the Tata Curvv. The new alloy design is one of the latest details seen on the upcoming compact SUV. It also raises the possibility that Tata could offer a larger wheel setup on the next-generation Nexon.
Nexon Gets Curvv-Like Alloy Design
The latest test car can be seen with black and machined alloy wheels featuring a distinctive petal-like pattern. The design looks similar to the alloy wheels available with the Tata Curvv. However, the exact size of the wheels on the Nexon test mule is not clear from the spy images. The tyre sidewall markings are also not readable, so it is too early to confirm whether these are 18-inch wheels. Tata could be using the existing Curvv wheels to test the wheel and tyre setup before finalising the production version.

Bigger Wheels Could Be Offered
The current Tata Nexon is offered with 16-inch alloy wheels. If Tata introduces a larger wheel size on the next-generation model, it would be a noticeable change for the compact SUV. The larger wheels could also suit the new Nexon's expected more upright design and wider-looking wheel arches. The bigger setup is likely to be reserved for higher variants, while more affordable versions could continue with smaller wheels.
Tata Has Used Existing Wheels During Testing
Tata Motors has used a similar approach while developing other models. During the testing phase of the Harrier facelift, test vehicles were spotted with 19-inch alloy wheels borrowed from the Tata Hexa. The production version later received a 19-inch wheel option on selected variants, although the final wheel design was different. This does not confirm that the next-generation Nexon will get 18-inch wheels. However, it shows that Tata can use existing alloy wheels while testing a new wheel and tyre combination.
Next-Gen Nexon Expected in 2027
The next-generation Tata Nexon has been undergoing road testing for some time. Earlier test vehicles have also shown changes to the SUV's body shape and proportions. The cabin is expected to get several updates as well. Earlier images showed familiar Nexon parts along with test equipment and unfinished sections.
The new Nexon is expected to continue with petrol, diesel and CNG powertrains. An updated electric version is also expected as part of Tata's future Nexon range. Tata Motors has not yet confirmed the final design, wheel size or launch date. The next-generation Nexon is expected to arrive in India in 2027.
