New Hyundai Bayon Global Debut on October 12, India Launch Next
New Hyundai Bayon will make its global debut on October 12, 2026. The new B-SUV will get major exterior and interior updates. India launch is expected at a later date, with the model already moving closer to its local debut.
Hyundai is set to unveil the new-generation Bayon globally on October 12, 2026. The updated B-SUV will make its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show as part of Hyundai’s European product showcase. The new Bayon will continue to sit below the Kona in Hyundai’s SUV range. The outgoing model has been on sale for around five years and is based on the i20 platform.
New Hyundai Bayon Global Debut
Hyundai will reveal the new Bayon at its press conference at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The company is expected to share complete details about the SUV’s design, cabin, technology and powertrain options during the global premiere.
The new-generation model is expected to receive a major styling update instead of being a simple facelift. Hyundai has already confirmed that the SUV will feature a redesigned exterior and a heavily updated interior. The new Bayon is likely to get a more modern SUV design, along with revised lighting elements and updated body panels. More details will be revealed closer to the global debut.

New Interior and Features
The cabin of the new Bayon will also receive significant changes. Hyundai is expected to add a more modern dashboard layout and updated technology. The European-spec model is likely to get a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrumentation and connected-car features. The exact specifications and equipment list will be revealed at the October 12 premiere.
India Launch Expected Later
The new Hyundai Bayon is also expected to make its way to India, although the Indian launch will take place at a later date. The India-spec model is expected to be positioned as a compact SUV and will sit below the Creta in Hyundai’s lineup. It is expected to use the Global K Enhanced Platform and could measure more than 4.2 metres in length. The India-spec Bayon is expected to get a petrol engine with manual and IVT transmission options. Features could include a large touchscreen, all-digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, connected technology and ADAS. Hyundai has already opened bookings for the India-spec model, indicating that its local launch is also getting closer. However, the company is yet to announce the exact India launch date.
More Hyundai SUVs Coming
The new Bayon will not be the only major Hyundai product showcased in Paris. The company is also expected to unveil a new C-segment SUV and its first battery-electric light commercial vehicle for Europe. More details about the new Bayon, including its engine options, dimensions and technology, will be announced at its global premiere on October 12.
