Tata Aeris First Look - New Rival to Dzire Spotted at Dealership
Tata Aeris production cars spotted at dealerships ahead of launch New sedan gets a fresh front design and full-width rear light bar Petrol and factory-fitted iCNG versions will be offered
New Tata Aeris has been spotted at dealerships ahead of its India launch on September 25. The production-spec cars have started arriving at dealer yards, giving us a clear first look at Tata's new compact sedan.
The Aeris will sit in the sub-four-metre sedan segment and will take on models such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura. A factory-fitted iCNG version will also be available alongside the petrol model.
Fresh Front-End Design
The Aeris gets a noticeably different design compared with the Tigor. At the front, the headlamps are positioned inside a dark horizontal panel that stretches across the nose. The Tata logo sits in the centre of this panel, while the bumper gets a large lower section with a cleaner design. The revised bonnet and front fascia give the sedan a more modern appearance.

New Side Profile and Alloy Wheels
The production cars also reveal the Aeris' new alloy wheels. The sedan gets dual-tone wheels with a fresh design. The roofline flows into a short boot with a fastback-like profile. The large rear quarter glass and prominent shoulder line add more visual bulk to the rear section.
Full-Width Rear Light Bar
At the rear, the Aeris gets a completely new look. A full-width light bar connects the tail lamps across the boot, with the Tata logo placed in the centre. The AERIS lettering is positioned below the light bar in a spaced-out format. The rear bumper gets vertical reflector elements, while the number plate is positioned in the lower section.
Tata Aeris Interior and Features
Tata is also expected to make major changes to the cabin. The Aeris could feature an updated dashboard with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a revised digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel and centre console are also expected to get a new design. Earlier teasers have already revealed features such as wireless charging, cruise control, automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera.
Engine and CNG Option
The Tata Aeris is expected to use the familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine. It produces around 86 PS and 113 Nm. Transmission options are expected to include a five-speed manual and five-speed AMT. Tata will also offer a factory-fitted iCNG version of the sedan.

Tata Aeris Launch
The Tata Aeris will officially launch in India on September 25, 2026. Pricing, variants and the complete feature list are expected to be announced at the launch. With its new styling, updated cabin and petrol-CNG powertrain options, the Aeris will enter the compact sedan segment with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura as its key rivals.
