Latest Update - The third generation Honda Amaze has finally been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh. It directly rivals the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. The new Amaze continues to be powered by an 89bhp, 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 5MT and CVT.
The new Amaze is available in 3 trim levels - V, VX and ZX - and in total of <6>. The 2025 Honda Amaze price in India starts at Rs <799900> and goes up to Rs <1089900> for the top-end variant. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Even the base variant of the Amaze is loaded with several features such as keyless entry, power windows, power adjustable ORVMs, manual AC, paddle shifters with CVT, 7-inch digital-analogue instrument console, rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESC, hill start assist and others.
If you can go without ADAS, the Honda Amaze VX is the most value for money variant. It has all the features available in the base model along with LandWatch Camera, reverse camera, automatic headlight control with light sensor, multi-spoke 15-inch premium silver alloy wheels, next-gen Honda Connect with Telematic Control Unit, one-push start/stop button, touch-sensor based smart keyless entry, fully automatic climate control with MAX Cool mode, wireless smartphone charger and others.
The new Honda Amaze is equipped with several modern comfort and convenience features along with high-end safety tech. It is the country's most affordable car that offers advanced driver assistance system. The sub-4 meter sedan gets Honda Sensing ADAS suite with features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification System, Road Departure Mitigation System and Auto High-Beam.
The sedan gets a new 8-inch HD touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Amaze gets Next Gen Honda Connect with Telematics Control Unit, voice command support, premium sound system (4 speakers + 2 tweeters), automatic climate control, keyless entry, start/stop button, 7-speed paddle shifters (CVT Only), wireless smartphone charger, and others.
The new Amaze is the country's most affordable car that offers ADAS suite. In fact, the base variant gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, rear parking sensors, vehicle stability assist with electronic stability & traction control, hill start assist, as standard. The higher variants get LaneWatch Camera and rear parking camera. The ADAS features include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification System, Road Departure Mitigation System and Auto High-Beam.
The new-gen Honda Amaze is powered by the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 89bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The new model is more powerful than the Dzire; however, the later offers slightly higher torque.
Honda has claimed that the engine has been calibrated to offer higher fuel efficiency. The new Amaze manual version is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.65kmpl, while the Amaze CVT delivers 19.46kmpl.
The new Amaze sits below 4 meters in length. It measures 3995mm in length, 1733mm in width and 1500mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2470mm. The sedan has a kerb weight of 952-986kgs, while the fuel tank has 35-litres capacity. The sedan rides on 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/60 section tyres. The long wheelbase and Honda’s ‘Man Maximum Machine Minimum’ interior philosophy ensures the sedan to offer spacious cabin to accommodate 5 adults.
Boot Space - Despite being compact in size, the new Amaze offers a boot space of 416-litres that's more than sufficient to carry weekend bags.
The new Honda Amaze is available in 6 monotone exterior colours including the new Obsidian Blue Pearl. Other colour options include Radiant Red Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Platinum White Pearl.
In the sub-4 meter sedan category, the new Honda Amaze challenges the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It also rivals the Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
