Honda Amaze 3rd Gen scores 5 stars in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Strong safety features include airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child-seat anchors. The Amaze excels in both adult and child occupant protection.
The new Honda Amaze 3rd Gen has successfully passed the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP) crash tests, scoring an impressive 5-star safety rating. The test, conducted in October 2025, showcases a significant improvement in the sedan's safety performance. The Amaze excelled in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories.

In the crash tests, the Honda Amaze 3rd Gen achieved a score of 28.33 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection. The sedan performed well in two major crash assessments:
Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test: 14.33 / 16
Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test: 14.00 / 16
The Amaze comes with a range of standard safety features, including front airbags, belt pretensioners, load limiters, and side head curtain airbags for both the driver and front passenger. Additionally, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Seat Belt Reminders, and Pedestrian Protection are available across all variants, ensuring robust safety for adults.
The Amaze 3rd Gen also achieved an outstanding 40.81 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection, with strong results in the following areas:
Dynamic tests: 23.81 / 24
CRS installation: 12 / 12
The sedan is equipped with ISOFIX child-seat anchorages on the second-row outboard seats, providing excellent support for i-Size-compatible child restraint systems. Both frontal and side-impact tests showed that crash-test dummies representing an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old child were well-protected, with the child restraint systems effectively preventing excessive forward movement during the crash.
The Bharat NCAP safety rating applies to the following variants of the Honda Amaze 3rd Gen:
- V MT / V CVT
- VX MT / VX CVT
- ZX MT / ZX CVT
All variants come with the same standard safety features, ensuring uniform protection across the entire Amaze lineup.
The Amaze 3rd Gen offers a wide range of safety features as standard, including:
- Front airbags
- Side head curtain airbags
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- Pedestrian protection system
- Seat belt reminders for all seats
- ISOFIX anchors (2nd row)
With its latest crash test results, the Honda Amaze 3rd Gen now ranks 22nd in terms of Adult Occupant Protection in the Bharat NCAP rankings. It scored 28.33 / 32 for adult safety and 40.81 / 49 for child safety, securing a strong overall performance. While vehicles like the Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, and Mahindra BE 6 continue to dominate the top positions with perfect scores, the Amaze is positioned above several other popular models, including the Citroen Aircross, Maruti Baleno, and Citroen Basalt.
