The much-awaited 2026 Renault Duster is finally making its way back to India, with an official launch set for 26th January 2026. After several spy shots and test mules spotted on Indian roads, the new-gen Duster is ready to bring fresh design elements, updated features, and improved performance to the highly competitive SUV market. Here’s what we know so far about the new Renault Duster and what to expect when it launches in India.

The new-gen Renault Duster will have a sporty and modern design, similar to the international model, known as the Dacia Duster in Europe. The test mules spotted recently were covered in camouflage but still gave a clear view of the SUV’s bold new look.
The 2026 Duster will feature Y-shaped LED DRLs and polygonal headlamps, giving it a sharp and fresh appearance. The SUV’s front grille will have RENAULT lettering in a large font, making it easy to spot. It also gets rugged bumpers, polygonal wheel arches, and roof rails for an off-road-ready look. The C-pillar mounted rear door handles and sleek ORVMs with turn signals add to its modern feel.
At the back, the 2026 Renault Duster will have a sporty rear spoiler and a recessed area for the number plate. The tail lamps are expected to have a Y-shaped design, giving the SUV a unique look.
Inside, the 2026 Duster will come with some exciting updates, especially for the Indian market. It might feature a triple-screen dashboard layout, a first for the Indian version, which is not available in the international model. This could include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital display.
The new Duster will also come with wireless smartphone mirroring, dual-zone air conditioning, and the ability to get over-the-air (OTA) updates. Safety features will include 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, and a rear camera, along with electronic stability control (ESC) and an ADAS package for added security.
The 2026 Renault Duster will be available with petrol engine options when it launches in India. Later, strong hybrid and CNG versions may be introduced, similar to the LPG options available in other markets. These options will provide better fuel efficiency and performance.
The new Duster will compete in the popular 4.2m to 4.4m SUV segment, going up against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The expected price of the new Duster is under Rs 11 lakh, making it a strong competitor in this segment.
