Safety Features of Syros Electric

For safety and security, the new Kia Syros EV comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, front-side and rear parking sensors, 360-degree surround view camera and others. It also gets LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and others. 

Battery Specs

The Kia Syros EV is available with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery choices.  - both come with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The smaller battery version offers 135 PS and 255 NM of torque, while the bigger battery with a front-axle-mounted motor delivers segment-best 171 PS and 255 Nm. The 42 kWh unit offers an ARAI certified range of 443km and the 51.4 kWh unit offers 526 km on a single charge.

Using an 11kW AC fast charger, the 51.4 kWh and 42 kWh battery can be charged from 10 to 100 per cent in four hours and 50 minutes, and four hours, respectively. The SUV supports up to 100 kW DC fast charging that takes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. It is claimed to achieve 0-100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds.
