Latest Update - the 2025 Renault Kiger facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-4 meter SUV comes with cosmetic changes, new tech and safety features. It is available with the same 1.0L NA petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engines with three gearbox options, including a 5-speed manual, an AMT and a CVT automatic.

The Kiger SUV is available in 4 broad trims - Authentic, Evolution, Techno  and Emotion - and in total of 18 variants. The Renault Kiger price in India starts at Rs ₹5.81 Lakhs* and extends up to Rs ₹10.34 Lakhs*, ex-showroom.

How Safe is Renault Kiger?

For safety and security, the new Renault Kiger gets six airbags, front seat belts with load limiter, seat belt with pretensioner, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS and EBD with brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control system and hill launch assist. 
Renault Triber and Kiger are based on the same CMF-A modular platform, and the former gets a 5-star crash test safety rating from GNCAP. We expect the new Kiger will also receive 5-star safety rating. 

Specifications

The new Kiger is available with two petrol engine options, including a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder NA and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, turbo. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). 

The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine churns out 99bhp of power and 160Nm of torque when paired to a manual gearbox. The torque drops to 152Nm when engine is coupled to a CVT automatic unit. Both powertrains come with ECO Mode, which helps in achieving high fuel efficiency. 

Renault Kiger Mileage

Renault Kiger delivers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figure of 20 kmpl for the manual transmission while for the CVT gearbox it returns 17 kmpl followed by 19 kmpl in the case of the AMT. 

Colours

The new Kiger is available in 11 exterior colours, namely Caspian Blue, Shadow Grey, Moonlight Silver, Oasis Yellow, Fictitious, Stealth Black, Ice Cool White, Oasis Yellow with Mystery Black Roof, Shadow Grey with Black Roof, Radiant Red with Black Roof and Ice Cool White with Black Roof. 

Dimensions and Boot Space

In terms of proportions, the new Renault Kiger is 3990mm in length, 1912mm in width (with ORVMs) and 1605mm in height. The sub-4 meter SUV rides on a 2,500mm wheelbase. The SUV has a ground clearance of 205mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle urban roads in India. 

The Renault Kiger offers an impressive boot space of 405-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry 2 full size suitcases and your daily bags. It also offers over 29L of internal storage to carry personal items and essentials.
