First teaser drops for Renault Kiger facelift India launch confirmed for August 24 Updated styling with feature enhancements
After launching the facelifted Triber late last month, Renault is now gearing up for its next big update - the Renault Kiger facelift, set to debut on 24th August 2025.

Renault has officially released the first teaser for the upcoming Kiger facelift. While the short clip does not reveal the complete design, it offers a glimpse of the SUV’s refreshed styling. The teaser hints at updated front lighting elements, a bolder grille, and a more upright stance. These changes are expected to give the Kiger a sportier and more premium look compared to the current model.
Test mules of the Kiger facelift have been spotted multiple times wearing heavy camouflage. Most of the visible updates are likely to be concentrated on the front fascia, including a redesigned grille, refreshed LED headlamps, and a flatter bonnet. The SUV will retain its rugged yet urban-friendly design with muscular body cladding and bold styling elements.
From the side, the Kiger is expected to maintain its existing profile with dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, and squared wheel arches. At the rear, the C-shaped tail lamps will stay, possibly with new detailing, along with a roof spoiler and a rugged bumper.
Inside, the facelifted Kiger may get a new freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, updated upholstery, and a fresh cabin theme. The current model’s feature-rich setup includes:
- 7-inch reconfigurable TFT cluster
- Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
- Automatic AC & wireless charger
- Semi-leatherette seats
- Steering-mounted controls
- Cruise control & remote engine start
- ARKAMYS sound system & ambient lighting
- Auto-dimming IRVM & rear AC vents
On the safety front, Kiger offers 17 standard features across all variants, including dual airbags, ESP, traction control, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and pedestrian protection.
The Kiger facelift will continue with the same engine lineup:
1.0-litre NA petrol – 72 PS & 96 Nm, with 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT
1.0-litre turbo petrol – 100 PS & 160 Nm, with 5-speed manual or CVT
Both engines are E20 fuel compatible. A CNG variant is also likely, as Renault currently offers an RTO-approved CNG retrofit for Rs 75,000 with a 3-year warranty.
Renault Kiger rivals Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, and Skoda Kylaq. The current model is priced between Rs 6.15 lakh and Rs 11.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift could see a slight price increase when launched.
