Boreal Launch Date

Renault has confirmed that the 7-seater Duster, rumoured to be called the Boreal, will launch before the end of 2026. We expect the new Renault Boreal 7-Seater to launch by October 2026. 

Renault Boreal Price in India

The Boreal is expected to be launched in both 6-and 7-seat configuration. The new Renault Boreal 3-row SUV is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 1300000 to Rs 2300000, ex-showroom.

Safety Features

The new Renault Boreal gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), traction control system, reverse parking sensors, and others as standard. Other safety features include a 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and others. It also gets LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like blind spot detection, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, and auto high beam.

Engine Specifications

The new Boreal is powered by a 1.3-litre, turbocharged direct injection engine that produces 156hp and 270Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 3-row SUV is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 9.26 seconds. Renault India is also developing a hybrid version of the Boreal 7-seater SUV, which will rival the likes of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari and others in the 3-row SUV category. 

Dimensions and Boot Space

The global-spec Renault Boreal is 4556mm in length, 2082mm in width and 1650mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2702mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 213mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions. In the 5-seater configuration, the Boreal offers a boot space of 522-litres. The luggage space can be further extended to 1,279-litres by folding the rear seats.

The Renault Boreal will rival the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and the Mahindra XUV 7XO.
