Design

The exterior design of the Renault Kwid is bold and stylish with a unique SUV-inspired look. Up front it offers a split headlamp setup with Renault trademarked chunky chrome highlighted grille, LED DRLs and a muscular bumper. Its ground clearance is fairly decent in comparison to other hatchbacks. 

On the sides, the Kwid car gets prominent wheel arches, black plastic cladding all around, dual tone multi spoke 14-inch alloy wheels and roof rails.

Towards the rear, it provides a curvaceous tailgate that offers a roof mounted spoiler, LED tail lights, red reflectors on either side and a black plastic finished bumper. A superficial skid plate can also be seen on the car.

Interior: The Renault Kwid provides a dual tone interior with fabric upholstery. Unlike before, the instrument cluster is fully digital comprising a tachometer, speedometer and fuel gauge meter. The overall interior design of the Kwid is practical and user-friendly, making it an ideal car for daily commuting and city driving.

Features: The Renault Kwid comes loaded with features such an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Bluetooth, remote keyless entry with central locking, USB & AUX inputs, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 12V power socket - front & rear, Push-to-Talk (voice recognition), video playback (via USB), electric power steering, chrome AMT dial surround, fast USB charger, a reverse parking camera, traffic assist mode among others.

Safety: In terms of safety, the new Kwid gets dual front airbags, ABS & EBD with brake assist, speed alert system, reverse parking sensors, hill start assist, electronic stability program, traction control system, reverse parking camera with guidelines, tyre pressure monitoring system, engine immobilizer, speed sensing auto door locking, overspeed alert, rear ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) and rear door child lock.

Renault Kwid Price and Variants

The Renault Kwid is available in 9 variants: RXE, RXE+, RXL+, RXL (O)+ and Climber RXT+. The Kwid price starts at Rs 429900 while the top-end trim goes all the way up to Rs 599100 (ex-showroom).

Engine and Specification

The Renault Kwid comes equipped with a 1.0-litre SCe petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 68 bhp and a peak torque of 91 Nm. It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. 

Besides these, there is also Renault's Easy-R Technology on offer that provides a clutch-free driving experience with the convenience of an automatic. The power plant also comes equipped with Renault's Energy-Smart Technology that ensures optimum performance with low fuel consumption and reduced emissions.

The Renault Kwid offers 6 different colour options. They include Moonlight Silver, Zanskar Blue, Ice Cool White - Dual Tone, Metal Mustard - Dual Tone, Outback Bronze and Fiery Red
