Renault India is gearing up for a strong comeback in 2026 with three exciting new cars - the next-generation Duster, the Boreal 7-seater SUV, and the all-electric Kwid EV. These upcoming Renault cars are designed to meet the changing needs of the Indian market.
Here's a closer look at the upcoming Renault cars in India 2026:
One of the most awaited launches of 2026 is the next-generation Renault Duster. The SUV has been spotted testing multiple times and is expected to debut early next year. The new Duster will follow a more rugged and muscular design inspired by the global model, while also featuring India-specific tweaks.
Built on the CMF-B platform, the SUV will initially come with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine producing 154 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. A hybrid variant could join the lineup later. With a tougher design and modern features, the new Duster aims to bring back the strong brand appeal it once enjoyed in India.

Renault is also developing a larger 7-seater SUV, likely to be called Boreal. Expected to launch in the second half of 2026, this model will share its underpinnings with the Duster and it will be longer to accommodate the third row of seats.
The Boreal is expected to use the same 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine as the Duster, while a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid version offered globally may also be considered for India. Once launched, it will compete with popular models like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
The third model in Renault’s 2026 lineup is the Kwid EV, which was recently spotted testing in India. The electric hatchback will look similar to the petrol-powered Kwid but will get EV-specific styling updates.
Reports suggest that the India-spec Kwid EV could be based on the Dacia Spring EV sold overseas. If so, it may feature a 26.8 kWh battery pack offering a range of up to 225 km on a single charge. Once launched, it will be one of the most affordable electric cars in the country, targeting city commuters.
