Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is a SUV inspired hatchback model currently on sale in the country. Introduced as the ‘Future S-Concept’ at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, the car went on sale in India in September 2019.

For 2023, the company updated the four-wheeler with a more efficient powertrain to help meet the upcoming emission norms. A relatively new model in the Indian market, the S-Presso has made its mark thanks to the rugged styling and the 180mm ground clearance.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Exterior

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso exterior features an upright and boxy design with a flat bonnet and tall stance. The front end offers a small SUV-inspired four-slat grille, while the bumper provides a large air dam at the bottom. Lower down there is a small housing for the LED DRLs along with a new plastic skid plate.

Towards the sides, the 2023 S-Presso gets 13-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel covers. It offers flared wheel arches alongside body coloured ORVMs.

At the rear, we can witness a protruding tailgate that provides C-shaped tail lamps, reflector inserts on either side and a plastic finish lower bumper.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Interior and Features

Interior: On the inside, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso provides a funky looking dashboard layout which is unlike anything we have seen from the brand till now. Finished in an all-black theme, the car offers fabric seats.

Features: The 2023 S-Presso gets a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, a digital speedometer, three-spoke steering wheel with controls, reverse parking sensors, manual AC controls, front power window switches on the centre console, smartphone navigation and remote central locking among other features.

Safety: In terms of safety, the S-Presso gets 2-airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobiliser, Hill Hold Assist with ESP and more basic equipment.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Price and Variants

Maruti S-Presso price in India starts from Rs 4.27 lakh and extends to Rs 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom). There are 8 variants on offer. The petrol-powered models are available in STD, LXI, VXI and VXI+, while the CNG powertrain is available on the LXI and VXI variants only.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Engine and Specification

2023 Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is powered by the updated 1.0-litre K10C engine. This unit is offered with both petrol and CNG fuel type. The engine produces 65bhp and 89 Nm of torque in the petrol guise, while the figures drop to 56bhp and 82Nm for the CNG version. The New S-Presso is offered with a 5-speed manual and AMT (petrol only) gearbox option.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso measures 3,565mm in length, is 1,520mm wide and 1,553mm tall having a wheelbase of 2,380mm. The car gets a tiny 27-litre fuel tank and 13-inch steel wheels.
