Mini-SUV S-Presso gets an upgraded powertrain; Offers up to 17 percent better fuel efficiency; Price starts from Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has introduced a facelift of its successful S-Presso mini-SUV at a starting price of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle comes equipped with a new engine, offering more refinement and better fuel efficiency along with some added features.
The S-Presso is now powered by the next generation K-Series 1.0-litre Dual Jet petrol engine with idle start-stop technology. The more refined unit produces a maximum power output of 66bhp and 89Nm of peak torque while delivering an impressive fuel economy of up to 25.30 kmpl. This accounts for a 17 percent increase in the mileage for the AGS and almost 14 percent in the manual transmission option.
Along with the new powertrain, the home-grown carmaker has also added more features to the mini-SUV such as electrically adjustable ORVMs, a new cabin air filter for cleaner air on the inside on the higher trims. On the automatic variants, ESP with Hill Hold Assist has been introduced to enhance the safety of its occupants.
Other prominent safety equipment include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, pre-tensioner and force limiter front seatbelts with front seatbelt reminder, a high-speed alert system, and reverse parking sensors standard across all variants.
The four-wheeler is available in a total of 6 trim levels and now demands a premium of Rs 25,000 to Rs 70,000 depending on the variant selected. The prices for the new S-Presso starts from Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base STD variant and extends to Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-of-the-line VXI+ (O) AMT variant.
“S-Presso with its bold SUVish design has carved a strong niche for itself. Within a short span of around three years, we have sold over 202,500 units of S-Presso, a strong testimony that it stirred the right notes with customers. With many advanced features, coupled with spacious interiors, and a commanding SUV stance, the mini SUV S-Presso witnessed a positive uptake among customers”, commented Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited on the occasion of this launch.
MG Hector petrol variants now E20 fuel compatible; 2025 model launched with no price hike, meeting new emission norms and supporting sustainable mobility.
