JSW Motors Combat Price in India
JSW Motors has officially announced to start its independent journey as a passenger vehicle manufacturer in India. The automotive division of the JSW Group is all set to introduce its first product this Diwali, 2026. The brand's first product will be an all-new plug-in hybrid SUV, which is currently undergoing road testing in India.
JSW Motors has joined hands with Chery International (China's largest car exporter) to import some of its global models for the Indian market. The Jetour T2 based plug-in hybrid SUV will be the first model to be launched under the JSW Motors nameplate. Called the JSW Combat, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle will be locally assembled at the JSW Motors' new greenfield manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra.
JSW Motors has officially announced to launch its first model, likely to be the JSW Combat, around October-November 2026, before Diwali. The component imports from China have a slow approval process, and this could delay its launch. It is expected that the sales and deliveries of the JSW Combat will begin around January 2027, closer to Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027.
The upcoming JSW Combat will be locally assembled at the company's greenfield manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The Combat price in India is expected to start at ₹30.00 Lakhs* and extends up to ₹44.00 Lakhs*, ex-showroom.
The JSW Combat will look similar to the Chinese-spec Jetour T2; however, the company will make some changes to give it a fresh feel. The SUV will come with a pronounced front bumper with skid plate, horizontally-stacked LED headlight strips, pixel-shaped LED fog lamps, uniquely styled grille with JSW Motors badge, and protruding squarish wheel arches. Instead of the JETOUR branding, the COMBAT wardmark is expected to be integrated at the front and rear profile.
The JSW Combat comes with a boxy profile, thanks to smoother body panels, and flatter roof with usable rooflines. Other design highlights include ORVMs with integrated LED blinkers, footsteps for easier ingress and egress, large glass areas for roomier cabin feel, a squarish rear profile with horizontal LED tail-lights and a unique tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
Dimensionally, the Combat will be identical to the Jetour T2 on sale in global markets. It measures 4,785mm in length, 2006mm in width and 1,880mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,800mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of around 205mm to 220mm, and available in a 5-seat configuration.
Not just the design, the cabin layout and features list of the Combat will be similar to the Jetour T2 PHEV. It will be packed with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, a wireless phone charger for the front passengers, automatic climate control, hill start and hill descent assists, a 360-degree camera, an ADAS suite and more.
The global-spec Jetour T2 is available with two engine options - a plug-in hybrid and electric. The India-spec model will be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, two electric motors and an 18.4 kWh battery pack. The combined power and torque output stands at 360hp and 610 Nm, respectively. This engine is paired to a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. It is likely to be offered with both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive options.
The 18.4 kWh battery is claimed to offer all-electric range of 90 km in a single charge. Using a 6.6kW AC charger, the battery can be charged from 30-100 per cent in 3 hours. The battery can achieve 30-80 per cent charging status in 27 minutes using a 50 kW DC charger. The SUV is claimed to offer a combined driving range of 1200km.
The JSW Combat will be positioned against the likes of the Honda HR-V Hybrid, Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner. It could also comes as an alternative to the likes of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV and Tata Safari.
| Variants | Expected Price |
