Nissan Patrol is expected to launch in India as a CBU import by early 2027. The SUV could get a 425hp 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 and 9-speed automatic. Expected features include 22-inch wheels, 14.3-inch screens and advanced driver assistance.
Nissan is preparing to bring its flagship Patrol SUV to India as the company looks to strengthen its presence in the premium SUV segment. The Patrol is expected to arrive in India as a CBU import by early 2027.
With a large cabin, three-row seating, four-wheel drive and a powerful twin-turbo petrol engine, the Patrol will sit well above Nissan's upcoming mainstream SUVs. It will also compete with some of the biggest SUVs sold in India.
Unlike Nissan's upcoming locally manufactured SUVs, the Patrol is expected to be imported into India as a completely built unit. The full-size SUV uses a body-on-frame construction and can accommodate up to eight passengers. Its size and rugged construction put it in the same broad space as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. Nissan is expected to position the Patrol as a premium flagship rather than a high-volume model.

The Patrol is expected to use Nissan's 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine. The powertrain develops around 425hp and 700Nm. Power is sent to the wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission, while a part-time 4WD system is expected to provide additional capability on rough terrain. The combination of high power, four-wheel drive and body-on-frame construction will make the Patrol suited to both highway driving and off-road use.
The Patrol will offer a long list of features to match its flagship position. Expected equipment includes 22-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension and twin 14.3-inch cockpit displays. A colour head-up display could also be offered. The front seats are expected to feature Nissan's zero-gravity design along with massage functions. Rear passengers could get 12.8-inch entertainment screens, while a 12-speaker Klipsch audio system will add to the premium cabin experience. The SUV is also expected to feature puddle lamps that highlight the Patrol's history dating back to 1951.
Nissan is also expected to equip the Patrol with several driver assistance systems. The list could include Invisible Hood View, ProPILOT, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Prevention. Seven airbags are also expected. These features will help the Patrol compete with other premium SUVs that offer advanced safety and driver assistance technology.
