New Toyota Glanza to Next-Gen Fortuner – 3 Cars Coming Soon

New Toyota Glanza facelift could arrive soon with fresh styling and cabin updates. Innova Hycross facelift is expected with Hilux-inspired design changes. Next-gen Fortuner could launch in India by mid-2027 with new technology.

Toyota has a busy product calendar ahead for India. The automaker is preparing updates to three of its important models, covering the hatchback, MPV and SUV segments.

The Glanza facelift, Innova Hycross facelift and next-generation Fortuner are expected to arrive in the coming months, with the new Fortuner bringing the most significant changes.

Glanza to Get a Fresh Look

The Toyota Glanza is set to receive an update following the upcoming facelift of its Maruti Suzuki counterpart, the Baleno. The facelifted Glanza is expected to get a revised front-end design, including a new radiator grille with a curved chrome element stretching across the front. The Toyota logo could also be repositioned.

New alloy wheels and a sunroof are expected to be part of the update, while the cabin could receive new upholstery, trim elements and ambient lighting. There are unlikely to be major changes to the powertrain, meaning the existing engine and transmission options should continue.

Innova Hycross Facelift in the Works

Toyota is also working on an updated Innova Hycross, with test vehicles already seen on Indian roads. The facelift is expected to focus mainly on the exterior and equipment. The front end could take inspiration from the latest Hilux, with a redesigned grille and a larger lower air intake. New alloy wheels are also expected.

The cabin could receive a few useful upgrades, including a new touchscreen infotainment system, a powered front passenger seat and an improved wireless smartphone charger. Toyota is not expected to make major mechanical changes to the Innova Hycross as part of this update.

Next-Gen Fortuner Will Be the Biggest Change

The fourth-generation Fortuner will be the biggest upcoming Toyota launch in India. It is expected to arrive around the middle of 2027. Unlike the Glanza and Innova Hycross updates, the Fortuner will move to an entirely new generation. Development vehicles tested overseas have already pointed to a more modern exterior.

The new SUV is expected to draw styling inspiration from the latest Hilux, giving it a sharper front end and a more contemporary overall appearance. The cabin is also expected to get a major overhaul.

Toyota could add a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Other expected additions include electric power steering, more USB Type-C ports and new driver assistance features.

More Safety and Driver Assistance Features

Toyota is expected to expand the Fortuner's safety technology with features such as Lane Departure Alert and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. A Cabin Detection Alert System could also be offered on the new SUV. These additions would bring the Fortuner closer to newer rivals in terms of cabin technology and active safety equipment.

What About the Engines?

Toyota is expected to retain the current Fortuner's engine and transmission options, although the company has not confirmed the India-spec powertrain lineup yet. The focus of the next-generation model is likely to be on its new design, improved cabin and additional technology rather than a complete change in its mechanical package.

Toyota's Upcoming Cars for India

The three models will serve different purposes in Toyota's India range. The Glanza will continue to attract buyers looking for a premium hatchback, while the Innova Hycross will remain a key family-focused MPV.

The next-gen Fortuner, meanwhile, will continue to be Toyota's important premium SUV offering. With a new design and more features, it is expected to give the brand a stronger product for the next few years.
