Toyota Glanza facelift launch scheduled for October 14, 2026. Expected to get a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. Ventilated seats, a 9-inch touchscreen and ADAS could be added.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor will launch the 2026 Glanza facelift in India on October 14. Ahead of the launch, the company has released the first teaser of the updated hatchback, giving us a glimpse of its revised front design. The new model is also expected to get an updated petrol engine, additional comfort features and advanced safety technology. The Toyota Glanza is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the upcoming facelift is expected to bring several updates to keep the hatchback competitive. Here is what we know about the new model so far.
The teaser reveals a redesigned front profile for the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift. The hatchback is expected to feature a black honeycomb grille with prominent chrome accents and a revised Toyota logo position near the front edge of the bonnet. The front bumper also gets a new look, with a U-shaped chrome element and square LED fog lamp housings. These changes are expected to give the Glanza a sportier appearance. The side and rear profiles are likely to remain largely unchanged. However, the facelift could feature new 16-inch alloy wheels. The teaser also shows the hatchback in a bright red shade.

The biggest change could be under the hood. The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to replace its existing four-cylinder petrol engine with a 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder unit. This engine is expected to deliver 83 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT gearbox. A factory-fitted CNG version is also expected to remain part of the lineup. However, Toyota is yet to confirm the final engine and transmission combinations.
The updated Glanza could receive several new features to improve cabin comfort and safety. Expected highlights include ventilated front seats, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging with active cooling and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Higher variants could also get an upgraded sound system. The addition of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is another major expected update. This could bring features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. However, these features are yet to be officially confirmed for the India-spec facelift.
The current Toyota Glanza is priced between Rs 6.73 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model is expected to carry a slightly higher price due to its revised design and additional equipment. Toyota will announce the official prices and variant details at the launch on October 14.
The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift will continue to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20 in India. With a fresh front design, an expected new petrol engine and additional features, the facelift could offer a more competitive package in the premium hatchback segment. More details about its features, variants and pricing will be revealed at the upcoming launch.
