Glanza facelift to get 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine LEVEL 2 ADAS confirmed
Toyota is officially launching the 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift tomorrow, October 14, 2026. The Toyota’s refreshed hatchback will come with an updated design, a new 3-cylinder petrol engine, and advanced safety tech. Its changes will be similar to its badge-engineered Maruti Baleno sibling.
The official teasers reveal key exterior design updates that set the Glanza apart from its Baleno counterpart. The hatchback comes with a larger front grille with three prominent chrome slats, gloss-black detailing, and a repositioned Toyota logo placed on the bonnet edge, revised front bumper that houses new LED fog lamps connected by a high-gloss black accent bar, and an integrated Radar module for ADAS tech.
The biggest mechanical update lies under the bonnet. The outgoing 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder K-Series engine is replaced by the new Z12E 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 83 PS and 112 Nm of torque, and is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The new Z-Series engine is tuned to offer higher low-end torque delivery and improved fuel efficiency for city driving. The factory-fitted E-CNG variant offers a power and torque output of 70 PS and 102 NM, respectively. The CNG version is also expected to get an AMT gearbox.
Inside the cabin, the Toyota Glanza gets dual-tone black and beige interior theme. The hatchback will come with ventilated front seats, cooled wireless phone charging pad, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 360-degree surround view camera, Head-Up Display (HUD), rear AC vents, and 6 airbags standard. It will come with radar and camera based LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and Lane Keep Assist.
The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. It will rival the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
