Toyota Glanza Facelift Launched - New Engine, Ventilated Seats, Price and More

Prices start at Rs 6.99 lakh New 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine Ventilated seats and CNG AMT option

Toyota has launched the Glanza facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated premium hatchback arrives a little over a month after Maruti Suzuki introduced the facelifted Baleno, its closest rival. The new Glanza is Rs 26,000 more expensive than the previous model, which was priced from Rs 6.73 lakh. The top-end variant now costs Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The facelift brings a refreshed exterior design, additional features and a new petrol engine. Toyota has also introduced ventilated seats and continues to offer a factory-fitted CNG option, making the updated Glanza a more feature-rich choice in the premium hatchback segment.

Toyota Glanza Facelift Price in India

The new Toyota Glanza facelift is available in five variants - E, S, G, V and V (O). Prices start at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base E variant, while the S variant starts at Rs. 7.71 lakh. The G variant is priced from Rs. 8.73 lakh, followed by the V variant at Rs. 9.99 lakh. The range-topping V (O) variant costs Rs. 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Glanza Facelift Gets a Refreshed Design

The most noticeable changes to the new Glanza are at the front. Toyota has introduced new bumpers, a redesigned grille section and Satin Silver accents to give the hatchback a fresher look. The mesh-style grille adds more character, while the Toyota logo sits on the leading edge of the bonnet, surrounded by a chrome embellishment. The updated model also gets stylish lower side skirts and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. However, the side profile remains largely unchanged, while the updates at the rear are minimal. Toyota says the new Glanza has been designed for ambitious young buyers. The hatchback is available in seven exterior colour options.

New Glanza Gets Ventilated Seats and More Features

The feature list is one of the key highlights of the Toyota Glanza facelift. The hatchback now gets ventilated front seats, which circulate air through the seat surface to improve comfort in hot weather. This feature could be particularly useful during India's summer months. Other features include a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system and automatic climate control. The updated model also offers a wireless charger with active cooling, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, connected-car technology and rear AC vents.

Toyota Glanza Facelift Safety Features

Toyota has also equipped the updated Glanza with several safety features. The hatchback gets six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Hold Assist and ISOFIX child-seat anchor points. The addition of front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera should also make parking easier, especially in tight urban spaces.

New 1.2-Litre Three-Cylinder Petrol Engine

One of the biggest changes to the Toyota Glanza is under the bonnet. The previous model used a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine from the K12 series. The facelift replaces it with a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Z12E family. The new engine produces 83PS of power and 112Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The new powertrain brings the Glanza in line with the updated Baleno. Buyers will be able to choose between manual and AMT options based on their driving preferences.

Toyota Glanza CNG Gets an AMT Option

The new Toyota Glanza continues to offer a factory-fitted CNG option for buyers looking to reduce running costs. In the CNG version, the engine produces 70PS and 102Nm of torque. A key addition is the availability of an AMT option with the CNG version. This gives buyers the convenience of an automatic transmission while retaining the benefits of a factory-fitted CNG setup. The combination of petrol and CNG options, along with manual and AMT transmissions, gives the updated Glanza more flexibility for different driving needs.

Toyota Glanza Facelift vs Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno remains the Glanza's closest rival, as both models share their platform and several mechanical components. The updated versions now also feature the new Z12E petrol engine family and offer a CNG option with an AMT transmission. However, the Toyota Glanza facelift stands out with its refreshed styling, ventilated seats and updated feature list. Its higher starting price means buyers will need to compare the equipment offered across similarly priced variants before making a decision.
