Tekton Launch Date
The Tekton is the brand’s upcoming midsized SUV, which is based on the same platform that underpins the Renault Duster. Nissan hasn’t officially revealed its launch date, but we expect the new Nissan Tekton to launch by April 2026.

The new Nissan Tekton midsize SUV is expected to be priced at Rs ₹11.00 Lakhs* for the base variant and Rs ₹18.00 Lakhs* for the top-end variant, ex-showroom, Pan-India.

The new Tekton midsize SUV will come equipped with features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch digital driver’s display. It is packed with an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats. Other comfort and convenience features include automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, 360-degree surround view camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold and others.
Safety Features of Tekton
The new Nissan Tekton is packed with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control system, rear parking sensors and others as standard safety features. It also gets a 360-degree surround view camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and LEVEL 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The ADAS features include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, lane assist and others.
Engine Specifications
The Tekton is powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 156hp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The entry-level variants of the Tekton could also get a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that powers the Nissan Magnite.
Competition
The new Nissan Tekton will rival the likes of the Maruti Victoris, Tata Curvv, Citroen Basalt, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara and others in the segment.
