2026 Magnite gets a feature update before the Nissan Tekton arrives. Nissan Tekton to rival Hyundai Creta and Tata Sierra in 2026. Nissan India plans to expand with new models and more dealerships.
Nissan India is planning some exciting car launches in the next few years. The company will bring both updated versions of its current models and brand-new cars. The Nissan Gravite MPV, updated Magnite, and Nissan Tekton are just a few of the new cars coming soon. Let’s take a look at what’s in store.
The first big launch from Nissan India will be the updated Nissan Magnite in 2026. While the compact SUV won’t get big changes in its design or engine, it will come with new features. This will make it an even better option for buyers who are looking for a stylish and affordable compact SUV. It will compete with cars like the Renault Kiger and Maruti Fronx.
The updated Magnite will be available before the Nissan Gravite MPV in March 2026, so it will be a great start to Nissan’s new lineup.

Next, Nissan is launching the Nissan Tekton, a midsize SUV that will compete with popular cars like the Hyundai Creta and Tata Sierra. The new Tekton will be officially revealed in February 2026. It will be built on the same platform as the Renault Duster, which means it will offer good performance and similar engine options.
Nissan Tekton will have a modern look, with design features inspired by the larger Nissan Patrol. Inside, the Tekton will offer a stylish cabin with a three-tone dashboard. This SUV will be unveiled before the Gravite MPV, giving buyers a glimpse of Nissan’s new designs and features in India.
One of the most exciting cars Nissan is launching is the Nissan Gravite MPV. Set to launch in March 2026, the Gravite will be a seven-seater family car. It will offer a great mix of space, comfort, and style, making it a strong choice for families.
The new Gravite has already been teased, showing off its spacious interior and modern design. It will come with new technology and comfort features, making it a tough competitor to cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova. This launch will help Nissan grow its range of family vehicles in India.
Looking ahead to 2027, Nissan India will launch a new 7-seat SUV. This car will share its platform with the Nissan Tekton, but it will be a completely different model designed for larger families. This SUV will offer more space and a longer wheelbase, making it perfect for families looking for more room.
It will compete with the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar, offering similar features but with a design and style unique to Nissan.
As part of its plan to grow in India, Nissan is also working to open more showrooms across the country. Currently, there are about 150 Nissan dealerships, but the company plans to expand this number to 200 by the time the Nissan Tekton launches. By 2027, Nissan wants to have 250 showrooms and increase its sales and service team from 800 to 3,000 employees.
