The Indian sedan market may be shrinking, but Hyundai is not slowing down. The company is working on a refreshed version of its C+ segment sedan, the Verna, to keep it competitive. The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift is expected to bring updated styling, modern features, and tech borrowed from the new Hyundai Venue, making it a strong choice against rivals like Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.

Spy shots of the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift reveal changes at the front and rear. The front fascia appears to get vertically-oriented LED headlights and repositioned LED DRLs. The bumper design is refreshed, giving the new Verna a modern look. At the sides, Hyundai seems to retain most of the existing body panels but adds new 16-inch alloy wheels with 205-section tyres. The rear receives updated LED tail lights and revised bumpers, completing the facelifted design.

The new Verna facelift interiors are partially camouflaged, but previous spy shots suggest notable updates. A new steering wheel, dual-curved 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and upgraded Hyundai Connect telematics are expected. Other updates may include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, Level-2 ADAS, and OTA update capabilities, bringing the Hyundai venue facelift features level of tech to the Verna.

The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift will likely carry over the current engine options. The 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol produces 112 bhp and 144 Nm, mated to a Manual or iVT gearbox. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine offers 158 bhp and 253 Nm, paired with a Manual or DCT. These engines aim to balance efficiency and performance for Indian roads.
Hyundai seems to be accelerating work on the Hyundai Verna facelift launch. Frequent spy sightings suggest the new Venue-inspired design and feature updates could debut in India within the next year, keeping the Verna competitive in the C+ sedan segment.
