2026 Honda Elevate Facelift - What Changes and What Stays the Same?

Honda Elevate facelift is scheduled to launch in India on October 6, 2026. Expected updates include a new grille, revised tail-lamp lighting and added comfort features. The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine, 6-speed manual and CVT are likely to continue.

The 2026 Honda Elevate facelift is set to launch in India on October 6, bringing a fresh look and a few new features to the midsize SUV. However, the update is expected to be limited, with Honda focusing on small design changes rather than a complete makeover. The upcoming model could get a revised front grille, updated rear lighting and new cabin features. At the same time, the SUV is likely to retain its existing petrol engine and gearbox options. Here is what is expected to change and what could remain the same.

Honda Elevate Facelift: What Will Change?

1. New Front Grille and Updated Styling

The facelifted Honda Elevate is expected to get a new radiator grille with a hexagonal mesh pattern and a gloss-black finish. The design appears to take inspiration from the Honda WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept showcased in Japan in January 2026. Honda sells the India-made Elevate in Japan as the WR-V. The customised concept shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon may have offered an early look at some of the styling changes planned for the updated SUV. The new grille could feature three horizontal LED light strips along its upper edge, visually connecting the daytime running lights. Honda is also expected to move its logo to the bonnet, similar to the update introduced on the City earlier this year. However, the headlamps and front bumper are likely to retain their current design.

2. Revised Rear Lighting

The rear design is also expected to receive a small update. The illuminated strips inside the tail lamps could extend further towards the centre of the tailgate, giving the SUV a wider lighting signature. The overall shape of the tail lamps is likely to remain unchanged. This would allow Honda to refresh the rear appearance without making major changes to the bodywork.

3. New Features Inside the Cabin

The interior is expected to remain largely unchanged in terms of its overall layout. However, Honda could add a few comfort features to make the Elevate more appealing. The expected additions include a factory-fitted ambient lighting system, ventilated front seats and power adjustment for the driver's seat. A panoramic sunroof could also join the feature list. Changes to the upholstery and interior trim are possible as well. Honda has not yet confirmed the complete list of features for the facelifted model.

What Will Stay the Same?

1. Existing 1.5-Litre Petrol Engine

The biggest mechanical detail is unlikely to change. The 2026 Honda Elevate facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine produces 119hp and 145Nm of torque. It is currently available with two transmission options: a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic. There are no confirmed reports of a new engine or major mechanical upgrades for the facelift.

2. Overall Design and Body Shape

Despite the styling updates, the Elevate is expected to retain its familiar overall shape. The changes to the grille, logo placement and rear lighting should give it a fresher appearance without turning it into an entirely new SUV. This approach could also help Honda keep development and production costs under control.

3. SUV's Core Package

The Elevate is expected to continue as a petrol-powered midsize SUV, with the existing engine and transmission combination forming the core of its lineup. The main focus of this update is likely to be styling and additional comfort features rather than a complete product overhaul.

2026 Honda Elevate Facelift Launch Date and Expected Price

Honda is scheduled to launch the updated Elevate in India on October 6, 2026. Prices are expected to start at just under Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom), although the final pricing and variant details are yet to be announced. The facelift could help the Elevate stay competitive with a refreshed design and a few additional features. However, the final changes will only be clear once Honda officially unveils the SUV.
