New styling and updated alloy wheels expected. More cabin features and ADAS upgrades possible. Petrol and hybrid engines likely to continue.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is preparing to introduce an updated version of the Innova Hycross in India. The upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is currently undergoing road testing and is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. The updated three-row MPV is likely to receive styling changes, additional features and improvements to cabin comfort. However, the existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrains are expected to continue. The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 33 lakh, ex-showroom.
Here is what to expect from the updated MPV.
The upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to receive a refreshed exterior, with changes mainly focused on the front section. The MPV could feature a redesigned front grille, restyled full-LED headlamps and updated dynamic turn indicators. The updated model is also expected to get newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, giving it a fresh appearance. These changes are likely to be part of a mid-cycle update rather than a complete generational change. The overall silhouette, three-row layout and basic body structure are expected to remain similar to the current model. More details about the final exterior design should emerge as testing progresses.

The cabin is another area where the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift could receive notable updates. The MPV is expected to get new seat upholstery, enhanced ambient lighting and an updated infotainment system. The existing 10.1-inch infotainment unit could receive upgraded software, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. These additions could improve the overall user experience for both drivers and passengers. Toyota could also introduce additional rear-seat conveniences, making the MPV more comfortable for families and chauffeur-driven buyers. However, the final feature list has not been officially announced.
The updated Innova Hycross could also receive improvements to its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The current model already offers driver-assistance technologies, and the facelift could bring refinements or additional functions. These upgrades may improve convenience and provide additional assistance during highway driving. However, the exact ADAS functions and safety equipment planned for the updated model remain unconfirmed. Toyota is yet to reveal the complete safety package of the facelifted MPV.
Mechanically, the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to continue with the existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrains. The naturally aspirated 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine is expected to remain available for buyers who prefer a conventional petrol setup. The strong-hybrid version is likely to continue combining a petrol engine with an electric motor and an e-CVT transmission. The current strong-hybrid version delivers fuel efficiency of over 23 kmpl, depending on the variant and test conditions. The facelift is expected to retain a similar powertrain configuration, although Toyota has not confirmed whether any mechanical or efficiency-related changes are planned. The company has also not announced the official specifications of the updated MPV.
The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to launch in India in late 2026 or early 2027. The model is currently undergoing road testing, but Toyota Kirloskar Motor has not confirmed an official launch date. The update is expected to help the MPV remain competitive in India's three-row family vehicle segment, where buyers increasingly look for better technology, comfort and fuel efficiency. Toyota is also preparing the next-generation Fortuner, which is scheduled for a global debut on December 1, 2026. Both models are expected to play an important role in the company's upcoming product plans.
